Description
Up for sale I have a very unique 2003 VY One Tonner. This car has been my baby for the past 6 years, it's in immaculate condition inside and out. I have not even got a stone chip on it.
This car is unique because it has an L67 supercharged v6 engine, with only 80,000kms on it (I have all correct paperwork to verify this). Although car has done just under 250,000kms Engine runs very smooth and quiet. I have just changed all pulleys, sensors and bearings. I have all receipts for the engine, and the work done to it.
I have put in a brand new diff, as these were a common problem when they were new. While there is nothing wrong with it, exhaust is still factory Ecotec, so could definitely be upgraded to unleash the potential torque.
The body is immaculate. As mentioned, there is not a mark on it. It will be sold with factory one Tonner wheels. I have put in SS headlights, but otherwise it looks 100% standard.
The tray is in good condition. Has drop sides and rear ladder rack. Has tonneau cover near new. I have cut a hole in the tray above the fuel tank to change the fuel pump easily, rather than lifting off the tray or dropping the tank. I was planning to drop a nice neat toolbox in its place, but I can patch it up with a new sheet of checker plate if sold for the right price.
Now to the interior, I have changed all the interior. It's got a Calais interior. I have put in grey leather seats and door trims, gear shift surround etc. awesome sound system. Double din jvc head unit with Bluetooth, Polk audio speakers.
Now for the bad, there isn't much. Car needs a gearbox. The car does not select gears. I have been quoted under $2000 for a brand new gearbox or $1000 for a second hand box, but I didn't want to open up the gearbox to see whats wrong yet. I think its the torque converter, so might be an easy fix. Once you get the gearbox done, it just needs a blue slip and it's ready to go. I have spent thousands on this car to get it where it is. But now I am getting married, I need to sell it. If it does not sell, I will put it away until a later date.
For anyone looking for a good fun project with not much money to spend on it, this is the car for you. It will not disappoint!!!
