Description
A very sad day today! Selling the Kingy.
This car is a neighbourhood favourite! I've had for around 4 years now and I'll be incredibly sad to see it go. Unfortunately we're moving and I don't have the time to take on the project!
The Car!
Pros
Holden HT Kingswood 1970 - 186 4 door manual sedan (3-on-the-tree)
The 186! The most reliable of the Holden engines!
Runs on LPG (like a dream) and petrol!
Pulled out all of the vinyl floor replaced with moulded carpet
Made a fresh parcel shelf to house the speakers
Installed a Retrosound USA Model 2 stereo system - this allows you to hook up via bluetooth/aux cable and listen to music/take phonecalls handsfree + the system looks original (includes 4 x 6" speakers)
Installed an aftermarket thermostat with gauge inside car
Installed an immobiliser to protect against theft (without an immobiliser these are pretty easy to steal)
Installed a new brake booster from a Chevy V8
Installed a new muffler
Replaced rubber seals on windows
Relatively new white wall Maxxis Tyres
Rego until October
Serviced last weekend by Prime Automotive in Marrickville, feel free to call Mick or Daniel on (02) 9550 6097 and ask about "Mikey's Kingswood"
Cons
The rust in the bottom of the doors has been bubbling and will need attention, this was the next job on the list but with a new job and move on the way I just haven't had the time
If you don't like looking cool, that's going to be a problem. Because you will look the coolest in this car!
