Description
For sale is this fantastic EK Holden Special sedan. Rarely does an opportunity to purchase such a unique early Holden come around, so if you have been waiting, THIS IS IT!
3rd Owner, genuine 110,000 miles. Sold new by Faulkner Motors Ipswich still with the dealer sticker on the back window. This is the actual vehicle the Opal green flashline TRAX model was based upon!
Finished in Opal Green/Snowcrest White the car was fitted new with many rare and sought after Nasco and period accessories which set it out from the crowd, including:
Rare Thornton Industries 'Flashine' body mouldings with gold anodising.Door Handle Paint Protection 'Scratch' platesBonnet mascotGMH plastic seat coversVenetian blindWheel spatsWibroc exhaust extensionCoolaride sunvisorFront door exterior weathershieldsThe car runs and drives exceptionally well, uses no oil and blows no smoke. The motor is whisper quiet with no rattles or knocks, or oil leaks. I would have no hesitation driving this car across Australia - recent mechanical work includes:
Entirely rebuilt front end - king pins, tie rods, drag link, idler arm, upper and lower inner/outer bushes etc (powedercoated black)New whitewall tyres (correct 185/80/13)complete new exhaustNew genuine timing gearNew gasketsNew brakes - cylinders and flexible hosesNew universalsRebuilt generatorNew water pumpWheel balance & alignmentNew clutchRecent service - new points, grease & Penrite oilOther work includes
New outer door rubbersNew boot rubberExterior repainted 5 years ago in original colours. New green moulded carpet
N.B. Will be sold with standard EK hubcaps (spinner caps shown in photos are off my other EK).
I am very happy to deliver this vehicle to a local transport depot. I recommend CEVA, last I checked Sydney $440 and Melbourne $700 (check for your own prices please).
Due to being on vintage registration (concessional rego is non-transferable) the car will be sold unregistered - however there is an option for Qld buyer to pay an extra $250 for the car to be sold with Qld RWC and rego to Nov 2015. The only job required for RWC at present is the horn is not working, and the handbrake requires adjustment (which will be completed prior to sale).
Please message me with any questions. I may take half a day or so to respond at worst as I am not always near a computer.
