Description

VS Statesman V6.
Good mechanical condition - always serviced and well maintained. Exterior is good with the exception of the bonnet paint which has peeled. This is the result of a previous respray of the bonnet only - The rest of paint is good. Car will look great with a resprayed bonnet or bonnet wrap and a detail (I was planning to install a custom bonnet but no longer have time to spend on this car).
Recently serviced and runs nicely. New AC compressor and climate control serviced.
Modifications include:
Cold air intake
Cat-back exhaust (not too loud)
VT big brake upgrade
Lowered suspension - Kings Ultralow springs with Boge shortened shocks, 4-point urethane camber kit and various urethane bushings.
HSV Grange bodykit (front/rear bars and super-rare bootlip spoiler)
Grange door trims (cost me $800 and took 2 years to find a set for sale!)
New Caprice grille
Caprice Series 3 taillights and boot garnish
Caprice driving lights
Chrome interior and exterior door handles
M3 side mirrors with LED indicators
WK side indicators
Series 3 centre console
Wood grain interior trims
HSV voltmeter in place of dash clock
Car comes with stock wheels. The 18 inch 5 spoke wheels in some photos have been sold. The chrome 20 inch dish wheels pictured can be included at extra cost.
A lot of parts have been replaced with new parts since I have owned this car, including interior trim, chrome, rubber seals, switches, etc.
The car will come with a heap of spare parts and a stage 2 shift kit which was never installed. Quite a few parts are NOS as I was planning to do a complete restoration at one point. I also have a set of slightly higher springs (new King Springs) in case the car needs to be lifted.
I have spared no expense in maintaining the car mechanically. The motor and gearbox feel very fresh despite their age and the car has recently had the aircon compressor replaced with the climate control system serviced and regassed.
The car has the stock stereo headunit to retain the steering wheel controls but is wired up to a 4 channel amp with all the speakers replaced with good 4/3 way ones. The Pioneer amp is sitting in the boot at the moment as I was planning to mount it properly as part of a custom install but it works well.
Towbar assembly is fitted, but will need a square cut out of the Grange bodykit to insert the towbar. I left it covered for a clean look.
The car is currently WA registered and will be sold as is.
There are other things I may have missed. All in all, this car could be easily returned to show-quality standard with a bonnet respray and tidy-up which I sadly don't have time for due to work and family commitments.
PLEASE NOTE: SOME OF THE PHOTOS ARE NOT CURRENT AND THE BONNET PAINT IS CURRENTLY PEELING. You can either respray the bonnet, fit a custom bonnet or apply a vinyl wrap, etc
Selling due to baby and requirement for a family vehicle. I cannot keep this car as we do not have enough garage space and I don't want to leave it outside. Car is listed elsewhere and I reserve the right to remove this auction at any time.
Inspections welcome.
Thanks.
EDIT:
Sorry folks, the VIN is 6H8VSY19HTL923053.
Also, just to let you know I need to sell this car before I get tied up with work again and I don't have time to waste so would like to complete the sale within three days of auction end. If this is not possible, I will have to ask for a deposit or the car will be relisted with a short duration auction and negative feedback left. Inspection prior to sale is highly recommended as the sale is final. Sorry, but I don't have time to arrange any interstate freight.
20 inch wheels are Zenetti Heirs. Two tyres are quite new, the other two will need replacing. They cost me 2K and are in great condition with chrome locknuts. They will be included with the car for an extra $500 - otherwise will be auctioned separately starting at $1000.
Cheers, Chris
