Description
1979 UC Torana.
This has been my first car and my daily for 12 months now. Age is catching up with it and I’m selling it as the breaks need a complete overhaul and will cost me $1800+ to fix. Money I unfortunately don’t have.
This car is NOT ROADWORTHY. It is still currently registered but I will drive it to wherever the buyer wants and I will be de-registering after that.
It was originally a sunbird but it is now a 6 Cylinder, HQ 202, 3 Speed Trimatic Auto.
Things Right with the car:
• Engine has never missed a beat, mechanically it drives beautifully.
• Gearbox was completely rebuilt 12 months ago, 12,000kms on it. (Have Receipts)
• Carburettor was rebuilt last month
• Manifold reconditioned + new seal
• Interior is mint. Door Cards are not original and are about 90%.
• New Windscreen + Seal
• Serviced every 5000kms (by me)
• Currently has a pioneer stereo (Bluetooth) 4 speakers, amp and sub. (Happy to remove anything if you don’t want it.
Things Wrong with the car:
• Breaks need a complete overhaul, reason why I’m selling. (I have quotes and a list from mechanics shop if anyone’s interested.)
• Needs new rear springs, very bumpy and hard hitting
• Speedo is not accurate, 20Km/hr+ (just needs a different sized cog)
• Bonnet had a scoop so the metal circle is bogged/slightly welded in, never painted it.
• That’s all that I’m aware of.
This car is rough, I painted it myself in acrylic with the proper gear but it is rough as.
The body is extremely straight but it has a couple of holes that were bogged up.
