1973 HQ Holden Ute

A 1973 HQ Holden Utility. 308V8, tbar trimatic auto transmission. Mechanically this vehicle is in excellent condition for its age. recon auto box fitted 2 yrs ago, changes smoothly and kicks down without fuss. engine runs smoothly and emits no smoke. it runs a stage one cam so that it runs better on gas. engine is still fitted with original heads so has an oil feed system which lubricates the top end, fitted with extractors running to a single 2.5inch system. engine runs on gas and petrol. gas tank fitted under tray in spare wheel bay with access behind flip down rear number plate. whole front end was rebuilt a12 mons ago. new bushes, tie ends etc. new gas struts and springs. bushes in rear leafs replaced at same time. Vehicle is fitted with power steering Vehicle was painted royal blue by previous owner. paintwork in very good condition. chrome work in good unrestored condition. prior to bringing veh to the coast. rust was repaired and the vehicle rust proofed top to bottom. Has tonnea cover and protective paint coating in ute back. is fitted with 14 inch cheviot style alloys which suit the era styling of the car. Is fitted with tow bar. is fitted with bucket seats standard HQ, with centre console. has 3 gauges fitted across bonnet vent 2.5inch Tacho/volts/oil pressure. Ute drives very well and tracks straight and true. have driven to Sydney and back a few times and never caused any trouble but then again it is always looked after and maintained correctly. I do not want to sell however retirement and downsizing leaves little room for this classic car. this is a straight unmodified Holden ute which are getting hard to find. inspection is welcome and can be arranged at a mutual time. payment upon sale is cash/bank cheque or bank deposit. price is $12,500 negotiable within reason.
