Description
2 vehicles included in this auction.
1975 HJ Holden ute 173 3speed column shift.
My daily driver, gets me to work and back everyday without fail. Registered until 5/4/16, but will add 6 months rego when due. Very reliable. Has good tyres, engine just serviced, timing done, carby tuned. New plugs, leads, oil, filters etc. Fitted with electronic ignition. Mechanically good, although she looks a little rough. Column shift linkages are very good. Gauges all work, bar clock and interior light. Interior is average, but complemented with a very good black dash (impossible to find in this condition). Door trims no good but function. Bench seat, although comfortable, has rips, but very salvageable. Carpet has rips on drivers side and is fading. Prem or stato front in good condition as are guards, despite a few dings. Body is below average but repairable in the right hands. (I never bothered because I like its rustic style and its just a "get me to work and back" car for me). Paint is rough. Has the usual rust, (refer to pictures) some parts good while other parts are worse than average. Tailgate is buggered, bent and dented (new ones on eBay $130). Needs a new tonneau cover. Has a towbar however I wouldn't recommend using it. It's by no means a power packed speed machine haha.
Showing 24,000km but it's obviously clicked over a few times Only goes to 99999 then back to 00000, as some of you will understand.
Comes with a 1998 VT Berlina, with a service history and good v6 auto. About 250000kms. Missing few bits and pieces but runs and drives. Was my brothers car, just ran out of rego and he bought a new car. Plan is to fit the V6 and auto to the ute. "V6 conversions" offer a kit to do this. Or make it yourself. An excellent modern and reliable alternative to dropping in a V8, has almost the power too. Or you could do the necessary repairs to register it again. (Knocked back on rear shocks, engine mounts, lights, rocker cover gaskets, etc Little things that I couldn't be bothered with).
These old Holden Utes can fetch good $$$ when well presented and with the modern addition of a v6.
This auction is for the 2 cars together. So consider this when arranging transport. I'm happy However, they can be separated as negotiated. But would prefer to sell both. I need to buy a 4x4 ute.
Will swap for a 4x4 ute or a small truck. Perhaps even farm machinery or just something of interest? Message me via eBay with your proposals. Cash either way.
