Up for auction is my very rare factory 307 floor shift HK Premier sedan. Now runs a 350 but have old rego papers with its original 307 engine number and matching firewall number and yes definitely factory chev as speedo cable comes out just below the wiper motor It is a Sydney built car and was originally released in the great colour combination of Silver mink paint, can see remnants of silver mink all over cabin floors. And parchment interior, as backseat has been vinyl sprayed and has parchment underneath like front seats Unfortunately ID tags were missing when I bought car but have checked and can still be registered in all states as has a clean untampered with Sydney firewall/chassis number HK05057S (very early build) and has been registered in Sydney since..
BODY - The Premier was repainted about 10 years ago in a burgundy colour (god knows why???) but has all the usual rust spots these old girls are prone to. Back dogleg both sides, bit around front rear screens, behind rear wheel arch in the spare wheel well (see pic) , back drivers door (spare HT HG door included for bottom skin), bodyline of drivers side rear quarter(see pic 7), bottom of passenger side GTS guard has rust and a dent (easy fix see pic, and yes guard is ORIGINAL GTS) and bit of surface rust in the boot and cabin floors. Passenger front door has been replaced with a clean shell but original complete door included with all its factory trim. All doors and bootlid unlock/lock with original keys and open/close as they should. All windows wind up/down well.
DRIVELINE The Premier now runs a 350 with all the boltons from its original 307 motor including factory powersteering. (got told the old 307 threw a rod and is not with car but do have original owner details for possible block whereabouts if winner desires) Only thing different is now has a 4 barrel carb and manifold.The automatic is the bulletproof powerglide running to the original floorshift and V8 salisbury diff out back. Not sure about the origin of the Salisbury but does run HQ stud pattern back there and does have the 6 inch wheels and GTS hubcaps. The Premier starts, runs, drives and stops but would need a good tune/service. Front end steering/suspension all feels nice and tight throughout with no strange noises, rattles or leaks.
TRIM is all original and looks to have had the black vinyl spray magic wand waved over it. Was originally a parchment interior as front seats are the originals. Both front and rear seats would do well with a retrim The Premier still retains its factory floor shift console complete with tacho and shifter. Door trims are all very good condition for their age, hoodlining has been retrimmed in black cloth and is very good.
CHROME including bumpers, light surrounds mirrors and badges etc are originals in very good condition for their age
STAINLESS all body moulds ARE ORIGINALS-NO REPRO are in excellent condition for their age
This is a rare opportunity to purchase a super rare Premier in great colour/trim combination. The Premier obviously needs some sorting/time and $ spent on her but would be a super rare and very desireable car once finished.
