Description

I'm selling my white 1997 VS V8 Statesman. I love this car but need a SUV for work so it must go. The interior is good with carpets being a little dirty but matts hide that pretty well. There is wear on the center arm rest and shift knob. The car hasn't been smoked in and is well looked after.
It runs well on both LPG and Petrol. I use gas for long trips and petrol in the city for daily driving. The body is straight and has minimal small scratches but there is a small dent (size of 20 cent piece) with a small rust spot by the drivers door handle. The wheels are 18in VT Monaro rims with decent tread on them. The exhaust was new 1.5 years ago and is a 2.5in RedBack exhaust
The engine was completely rebuilt and hot tanked this time last year with:
-Gaskets, seals ,welsh plugs block decked, bored/honed 30 thou
-Crank machined 10 thous, new flat top pistons, new rings, heads reconditioned
-Crane 276 camshaft, Crane anti-pump lifters, Crane LT1 springs
-JP Performance timing kit
-ACL: race series gaskets, 1 piece rubber sump gasket, big end and main bearings
-New fuel pump and injectors rebuilt with new seals and filters.
-New alloy radiator
-Lowered with Pedders suspension springs and shockers.

The engine was hot block tanked and fully balanced. The automatic transmission has a stage-2 shift kit and fully serviced.
The car has done about 35K since this work has been done.
Within the last month the car has have the following brand new items installed:
-New air filter
-New fuel filter
-Drilled and slotted front and rear disc rotors with new pads (just bedding them in now because were done last week)
-Oil change last week
-New battery
-New dizzy
-New alternator
-New coil now relocated to left strut.
-New rocker cover gaskets.
-New spark plugs included but not installed (the current ones still looked good.)
-New belts
*Engine covers are clean and included in with the vehicle. I just left them off to show the newer leads and coil relocation. I'll install them in the next few days.
What it needs:
-The AC could use a top up and is still pretty good but it might just be the AC idle pulley; this needs to be replaced (about $25 on eBay)
-Could use some new matts
-I've been told it doesn't need a new oxygen sensor but maybe if it had a clean or a new one then it would get some better gas mileage.
That's all I can think it needs, again, it's a tidy and well running car.
The car is sold with no RWC but has rego until the end of Oct. Inspection is welcome in the evenings in Carlton or during the day in Oakleigh. Please contact before hand. I accept payment through direct bank transfer or cash and full payment is to be made within 4 days. I have 100% feedback and will abide by eBay rules when it comes to non-paying buyers and will leave appropriate feedback. Thanks for viewing.
