Description

This 1971 LC GTR Torana was a featured car in the April 2021 issue of Street Machine magazine.
The car was built by the then owner Craig Wehner and Doug Kearney. It was built from an ex-circuit racing car. An L34 style bodykit was modified to suit the smaller body. The XU3 blackouts and graphics were inspired by the race Toranas and the fabled XU2 factory prototype. The ultimate aim being to build a road going sports sedan. The engine was built by Eddie Woods at Head Stud Automotive, it is a 202 cubic inch (3.3 litre) unit producing 300hp (224kw). It is fitted with triple 45mm Weber carburettors. Brakes are R32 Nissan Skyline disc and calipers on the front and VL Commodore discs on the back. The car has been recently fitted with a T5 Gearbox and an ICE ignition system.
