Description
PLEASE READ THE WHOLE DECRIPTION!!!
Hi, selling a genuine asteroid silver Holden Commodore VK SS,
I've owned the car since 2000, with 2 owner before me.
I planned to sell next year when it's a classic to put towards
a house for my family, though now it's happening a little sooner.
I drove the car daily for a couple of years until I was given a company car,
since then it's been registered a few times when I've felt like driving it!
two years ago I decided to tidy it up with a new interior as the repro fabric
became available including carpet and re-stitching the Momo steering
wheel and gearknob. the whole dash was removed for the heater core
and ventilation system vacuum hoses replacement.
It was handed to the panelbeaters for minor paint detail and the rear lower
windscreen panel and front windscreen replacement, it came back with a full
re-spray which I wasn't real happy about because they didn't ask to do it!
I have the bootlid and grille "SS'' stickers, haven't fitted them because
I know I wont put them in exactly right spot!
Years ago I removed the A/C system and Quadrajet carb, when the
engine had work and was stored but have dissapeared!
I have bought a complete engine bay A/C setup,
but is not fitted, the gear in behind the dash is still there.
The work done at the time was because the cam was a little worn (common).
hyperuetectic pistons (original size, not oversize), stainless valves (B cast heads)
and an engine balance. Also obviously rings, bearings and gaskets too.
Running a holley 750 vac second, model no: R84011-1569, Webber style.
I still have the original air cleaner body, top and scoop.
Other new parts fitted in the last 2 years are:
*Ceramic coated advance extractors and a new 2 1/2 system with
oxygen sensor and rear resonator, (Auto meter air/fuel mix guage fitted
and included for tuning, theres also a temp vac line in the cabin
for using a vac guage)
*New 4 pinion LSD centre with the original 3.08 gearing, U-joints.
*Not new, but the gearbox is a W57 Toyota Supra 5-speed,
with new bearings at the time of engine work.
*HID headlights, 4K lumen.
*Overhauled steering rack, new rack ends, tie rod ends and ball joints
*Goodyear Eagle F-1 GSD-3 on the rear, and Directional 5's front.
*Platinum spark plugs, electric thermofan, radiator, battery,
1 inch master cylinder and brake booster, slotted front rotors and
EBC Green stuff pads.
*Steering column bearings, which were the last available in OZ!
*Adjustable and kinked rear panhard rod.
*Front standard V8 shocks and nolathane upper bearing plates.
If you want to drive fast, I'd recommend an upgrade, but fine
otherwise.
And other bit's & bobs I've forgotten about. Theres no stereo,
I haven't bothered 'cause I like the engine note! All the wires and RCA
leads are there for a head deck and and amplifier in the boot,
The rear parcel shelf has 6x9 holes under the vynil if you want to fit a pair.
I have the hdt plate, Build no is 1864, and a blank HDT Document (see photo),
I took it off as a young fella thinking if it was stolen, they wouldn't get that.
It might be hard to get the document signed now, or find a typewriter!
Ok so seriously: No offers this car is worth it, and potential thieves need not
apply, the car is stored off-site securely.
If you want to drive, you'll need to show me the cash!
So no tyre kickers, test pilots or time wasters, I can pick you a mile off.
Comes with rego until 2-08-2014, a Safety certificate will be supplied upon
sale, it's been inspected and will pass no probs.
The plates ARE INCLUDED in this sale.
Please contact me through Ebay.
Cheers!
