1992 VP
Holden Calais V6, Auto. White over grey exterior, body is straight with no
dents. It does have the odd scratch/scuff mark, paint is in very good
condition, no peeling etc but could use a good cut & polish.
Interior is grey velour, excellent condition as you can see. Seats have no rips or tears and are very, very clean. Rear headrests have split along the stitching; the velour itself is fine, just the stitching. As expected (notorious on these models) the hood-lining was completely sagging. Had been stapled to hold it up (apparently a new hood-lining is about $200). All interior lights work, indicators etc, and air con works. Electric mirrors work, and all electric windows work except front passenger side. Well technically the electric window works just fine, but the glass itself has come out of the runner inside the door.
Calais has done 310,000kms. Auto trans works beautifully, changes smoothly. Motor itself is good, blows no smoke, has no rattles etc. Since December 2014 I have put in a new alternator, new battery, new coil packs, plugs, leads, oil & air filter, thermostat, throttle body, and idle air control valve, also replaced the top & bottom radiator hose, but in the last 3 weeks have noticed a little water when I park in my garage (may just need the hose-clamps nipped up tighter).
Wheels are 18x8 VY SS, tyres are good, brakes work fine.
Car was registered up until yesterday, 26th August. I cancelled the rego (which I paid in May), so the car will be sold as is with no rego/no roadworthy. I’ve described the car to the best of my knowledge, and I know I’ve looked after it where I can (I am the second owner).
If you bid successfully, $200 deposit to be paid within 24hrs of auction ending and balance to be paid at the time of pick up which must be within 7 days. Car is advertised elsewhere, I reserve the right to cancel any bids and cancel the auction, etc. Yes, I will accept reasonable offers.
