cars are so awesome and fun its like having a road going go kart or kit car, but better as these were actually production cars from Honda and were made to a very high quality. They are REAR wheel drive and the engine is located in the rear, this allows for no lag time from the wheels to engine and diff and so the car is like a small rocket, really fun, handles corners really well, great in town as its small and turns loads of heads. These cars have a top speed on 160 kph and so you can imagine they are quick as they are so lightweight. Its smaller than a smart car!
It took me a long time to find this car, it was imported from the UK in 2000 and had previously been imported to the UK from Japan. It would cost probably twice the money I am asking for my beast to try and import this vehicle into Australia now and have it all approved for the road etc..
I have a full folder of history on the car with service receipts for full services, it has had its main cam belt/timing belt, rollers, air con belt, sparks, oils, filters, coolants major service at 110,000 k's back in 2008 and so all the big service is done. Just had a minor service this last month with new oils, oil flush the system, coolant flush and new coolants, a high performance HRC oil filter fitted for increased oil flow and better performance. New filters, 2 x BRAND NEW 15" TYRES on rear, BRAND new SONY car stereo system with remote and 2 X BRAND NEW pioneer speakers for better sound quality with the roof down on the motorway the sound can be really turned up loud if needed. Starts first time, every time, no smoke on start up or at any point, even on hard acceleration the engine is strong. No rattles, no leaks, the underneath of the car looks new, no rust, no torn rubber boots or anything like that. Always garaged and in very good all round condition. ITS A MANUAL and with rear wheel drive its great changing gear. HONDA made the car as standard with racing features, short shift gear change, the rev counter is positioned in front of the driver and revs really high to give a racing feel and great sound. Both front and back adjustable race portion bars to keep the handling tight and responsive. 14" wheels on front and 15" on back, looks great and handles great too. The car has just had a BRAND NEW BATTERY fitted with an isolator switch added so if you want to leave the car in the garage for a few months you can turn off the battery and not drain it and wreck it. THE AIR CON IS ICE COLD, really impressive air conditioning, ice cold and no issues. The car has power windows, the roof remove with only two hooks in less than 4 seconds the roof is down to enjoy the sun. The car has only travelled 130,000 k's since 1994 and so has really low k's and drives like it too.
The beat used to have ugly zebra striped seats from standard (look on google) I have just had them professionally upholstered with 100% real black leather and cost $1200! Honda made a special system for this car, instead of fitting a turbo booster they fitted a separate throttle body for each of the three cylinders on the car, this is called the MTREC system or Multi throttle Response Engine Control. It is fantastic and should be on all cars, really makes the car quick. Its like having a motorcycle engine in a car.
Just had a RWC roadworthy $250 done and is included in the sale, as you can imagine everything has been checked and no issues. Also comes with 12 months VIC rego just cost me $800. Comes with spare keys, all receipts for work done, old history and old RWC and redoes, full book of info. Someone will get an absolute bargain car which is perfect for commuting like I use it for to put a smile on my face every morning. or can be a perfect show car/museum car or marketing car for attracting attention at your garage or shop etc It would make a great track or race car and beat everything else going. SAD to see it go but moving house and don't have a garage to keep it.
Only negative issues I can think of is the O2 sensor light comes up sometimes for the exhaust on the dash but i just ignore this as its like $200 for nothing! Does not effect performance just needs a new stupid sensor and doesn't come up all the time. Some idiot backed into my passenger door and fled and has put a small dint in the door (see pics) its not that bad and it never bothered me to get it fixed. I was going to get the dint fixed and have the car sprayed black, that would make it look really special but I have never got around to this.
I am happy to drive the car to a depot if an interstate buyer wants the car, just let me know, or i can arrange freighting with CEVA car movers if you like.
