Description

For sale is my very much loved Honda Civic Type R (EP3) in arguably the best colour, Cosmic Grey.

If you're reading this, you already know how reliable these cars are and the impressive and bulletproof the K20 VTEC engine is. To no surprise, this example is mechanically sound. There's no problems with the clutch, it is not slipping at all and there is no nasty crunches coming from the gearbox. With this being a later facelift model, it benefits with updated front and rear lights, a revised front bumper and grill, red and black front seats, red fabric on the door cards and a lighter flywheel to the earlier models.

In my two years of ownership she has wanted nothing, except routine servicing and tyres, as expected. It has full service history up to 2012, then serviced my myself, which included an oil and filter change, a gearbox oil change, replaced the spark plugs and the air filter replaced, which is all documented. On it's last service it had a trip to Holden Honda to have the valve clearances done.

This is a early 2005 facelift model making it a 54 plate with just 77k on the clock which is well below average for a car over nine years old! It is booked in for an MOT on Thursday 4th September, which I am very confident it'll pass with no advisories, so it will be covered until October 2015. The road tax finishes at the end of this month, which works out well with the new road tax rules coming into force at the beginning of October, meaning you have the choice to pay for 12 months road tax, 6 months road tax or even pay road tax monthly via direct debit.

I have looked after this car very well, as I have done with all my previous cars in the past. It is only filled with Shell V-Power. It gets cleaned regularly only using top products (such as Autoglym, Autobrite, Meguiars, etc). With the amount of protection the bodywork has, tar and fallout struggles to stick to the car, keeping the surface smooth.

Obviously the bodywork has some damage, it's nine years old after all, and its been my daily car for two years! As most cars of this age, it has suffered from stone chips on the front and unfortunately somebody has knocked into the rear bumper, and somebody else has just caught the front bumper. The rear bumper damage isn't too noticeable, and the front bumper has been touched in making it less noticeable.

The only things that are not standard are the Team Heko wind deflectors, and the centre dash trim has been hydro dipped in carbon housing a JVC headunit. The original Honda stereo will be included. The front sidelights and the rear number plate bulbs have been replaced with SMD bulbs. The headlight bulbs have been replaced with Philips Diamond Vision bulbs.
The i-VTEC engine cover is included, it just was not pictured as I had cleaned the engine bay.

I am genuinely gutted to be selling this fantastic car, but a new job which requires me to travel forces this unfortunately.
This is sold as seen and described to the best of my knowledge. Due to the amount I'm asking, I would prefer to be paid via a bank transfer rather than cash.
Please message me for any questions, I'm not letting this car go for peanuts so only genuine buyers please.
