WOW!!!
ANOTHER Roush Honda “NO RESERVE” Body Shop Special auction! This one is for a 2016 Civic EX that hit a deer on the right front corner as you’ll see. It’s totally driveable though you’d probably risk getting a ticket for the missing lights on the right side. It’s very clean and well kept, no one would ever guess the mileage! Our body shop had just started the tear-down to do an estimate when the customer called and said never mind, they were going to trade it on a brand new one. Without doing an actual written estimate the body shop gave me a “ball-park” estimate of about $3,000 using new Honda parts and our labor rate of $110 to $55 per hour depending on the operation being performed. A little time spent on the web site Car-Part.Com would probably produce the correct hood, front fender and bumper cover in the correct shade of blue for a whole lot less with no painting required! There is no real structural damage and no airbags deployed. It must have been a small deer or a glancing blow.
This Civic isn’t top of the line BUT it’s equipped with some “niceties” you couldn’t get on any new car (not even a Rolls Royce) just a few years ago. LIKE: Factory Remote Starting for those extra cold or hot days, LIKE: SMS Text message service – have the car read a text message to you or dictate one with the press of a button on the steering wheel, 8 Speaker Stereo, USB with 1 amp charging, there’s more but you get the idea.
