Description
Here I have my 2002 Civic Type R JRS
Last Reduction / looking for a quick sale - Need it to go now as I've swapped insurance over onto my new car
It's with a heavy heart I'm selling my JRS EP3 as I'd bought the car as a project to enjoy over the next 12 months. However, after the unexpected addition of a new company car, I can no longer afford to keep it.
For a 2002 vehicle its genuinely immaculate, no strange colour matches, no parking dings or key marks, the VSM is in great condition apart from a very small blemish on the front bumper. I've had 3 Type R's before and even though this is the oldest, it's certainly in the best condition.
It pulls excellently in every gear with the supercharger whining all the way though. Tight gearbox and clutch which shows the car has been well maintained and not obliterated like some have by rude boys!! Never taken above 3k by myself before everything is up to temperature and always given 2-3 mins to cool down after a lengthy or spirited drive, I have confidence the last owner also did the same as his other car was a 600bhp Evo!
On another note - with the straight through exhaust and 421 manifold, its a very loud car. When ticking along at 70 it's easy enough to talk with passengers but under full throttle and between 4-5k especially its very bassy, probably not suitable for long commutes but as my work is only 5-10 minutes form my house it never bothered me. Ignoring the sensible stuff - It sounds truly awesome and spits massive flames on the overrun and between gear changes when nicely warmed :)
Mileage = 96k (anything under 100k is not even run in for these) FSH comes along with the car (huge folder of receipts, MOT's, modification fittings etc)
Always run on V-Power or Tesco's 99ron (car is mapped to 98 or above)
7 owners including myself
Supercharger Conversion was done at around 77k (Tourque Developments) they also fitted the DC Sports 421 SS Manifold and the uprated engine mounts to go along with the conversion.
Dyno'd at just below 300bhp at the fly which would make it around 250bhp at the wheels
MOT - Expires May 2015
Tax - Sept 2014 - will pay for 6 months if asking price is met
Engine Modifications -
Full Jackson Racing Supercharger conversion (8psi) ancillaries included (well over £4k for the whole conversion at 77k
DC Sports 421 stainless manifold
Full HKS Hi-Power 409 Cat Back exhaust system (full de-cat)
K-Pro Engine Management System (Launch Control not yet set up)
KnN Typhoon Air Filter (great noise in V-TEC) Anodised Red in colour
Exterior -
VSM (Great condition)
Lowered 40mm on Skunk2 Springs
16" Rota Slipstreams (painted black) couple of small chips but no kerbing at all
Standard roof spoiler
Brand New Pads (fitted end of July) performance fronts and EBC Bluestuff rears
Grooved from Disks (10 slots)
Grooved rear disks (40 slots)
Painte Red Callipers
Track Rod End and Anti Roll bar link replaced with last MOT
Interior -
Standard Honda Type R Bucket Seats (all black, very understated)
Standard Honda Stereo System (good sound quality all round for a 12 year old car)
New Mats
Two Keys - Central Locking Fob in great condition
Bad Points -
Slight blow from the flexi pipe that can't be welded as the crack is so small. A new flexi is probably around £80.00 for a decent one.
Very small hairline crack on the front bumper that can't really be seen unless looking closely.
I'm being picky
Car is located in Hatfield AL9 area (stored at my workplace in a locked, alarmed and monitored warehouse)
I'm no longer driving the car as I want to keep it mint after valeting it and I'm now using my new company car.
No test drives without proof of insurance and no time wasters - I know what the cars worth and anyone else who knows their Honda's will know how sought after these are. It's such a shame to be selling but I'm just not in a position to run two cars.
CASH ON COLLECTION
£5250.00 - Open to sensible offers but strictly no part ex as I have another vehicle.
Best Contact Number is 07711399777 - I'm at work during the day and sometimes out on the road but I'll endeavour to answer any calls or txt's
