Description
Selling my 2001 Honda Civic. I am only the second owner (was in my friend's name for six months). Garage kept. The car runs
great. Mostly driven on freeways and highways to work (Connecticut roads). Maintenance always done
timely at the Honda dealership. Well taken care of. I kept the records for all
of the maintenance. This is a great gas saver car (33 per gal). The mileage is
better than the newer cars. I recently did the 120K maintenance and put brand
new brakes and changed the timing belt. I have driven the car no problems
across the US all the way from Connecticut to Mountain View. The only issue is
that the car stalls on low idle. The dealer blamed this on a leak on cylinder
3, possibly head gasket, and he quoted me over $1200 to do the job. Hence
looking to sell to a mechanic or if you know a good skilled one in your family/
friends. Hence why I am listing the car below KBB price for the Buy It Now price.
Please note all the following:
- Manual car.
- Clean title - Excellent AutoCheck score.
- The car is still registered in CT. So you will have to register the car in California.
- I am currently driving the car between Mnt View and Sunnyvale. It runs OK but it has this cylinder pb which means that it can possibly break down any time. It also stalls on low idle (engine goes below 1000 per minute sometimes when waiting at red lights, before you need to restart)
- some small dings. Please see photos. There is also one scratch on the rear right side.
- u haul hitch receiver already installed on the car (worth $200).
- If you do not have the available funds at time of bidding then “PLEASE DO NOT BID”. The money will be due within 3 days via certified money order or certified bank check Will be re-listed otherwise.
- I reserve the right to end the auction early as I am listing it locally.
- The car is sold as it is. I have given the best description of the vehicle to my knowledge. I assume no responsibility for any errors in the description. All sales will be final with no warranty expressed or implied.
