Here for sale is my 1998 Championship white EK9 Honda Civic Type - RX
A beautiful example of the epitome of Honda engineering!
The car is sitting at 149k Kilometers which equates to roughly 90k miles.
It has 2 previous owners.
The bodywork for the age is immaculate with the exception of a couple of small cracks on the front bumper - else the car is mint with no rust and perfect underneath!
It benefits from an upgraded suspension setup costing £1000 - BC coilovers - no leaks or noises, works perfectly!
A 5zigen exhaust has also beed added which isn't loud and bellowing like most Honda's without a purpose - this exhaust sounds absolutely lovely with a clean sounding tone to it and no rasp while providing the engine with better breathability with 2.5" pipework.
As with the legendary Type-R the car benefits from a seam welded monocoque chassis to improve rigidity and stability as well as the usual JDM Type-R refinements such as;
- Flagship Championship White colour.
- The iconic Recaro red interior - in near mint condition just needs a little clean up!
- Cupholders in the centre console.
- Stanley JDM headlights and rear lights.
- B16b 180bhp engine mated with the s4c helical lsd gearbox.
- Pioneer Gathers speakers all around!
- Civic Type-R mats.
- Power fold electric heated mirrors.
Unfortunatley as with all vehicles there are bad points which have been higlited above an are as follows;
- There are 2 small cracks (very barely noticeable) on the front bumper.
- There is no paperwork except the V5 and MOT with the vehicle as the previous owner (son of the importer) had lost it!
In addition to the standard type R specification the RX boasts a CDplayer, body coloured retractable electric door mirrors, power windows,auto air conditioning, key-less entry unlock system, aluminium sportspedals, and a carbon type center panel.
Other than this, the car is absolutely spot on and mechanically sound and stunning to look at - one of the most mintest Type-R EK9 available today!
The gearbox has no crunches or whines and shifts through the gears perfectly.
The V-Tec engages seamlessley and once in the range pulls exceptionally well!
It retains oil and water without any issues, leaks or burns.
Starts up perfectly and idles spot on as a honda should.
