Description

I am selling my beloved '92 Civic VX. I originally bought this car from a neighbor about 8 years ago. I then sold it to a friend who drove it for a year or two, and I ended up buying it back from him, as I loved having it as a commuter car. If you are familiar with this model of the Civic, you know that it is one of the most reliable vehicles that Honda ever made. It will run forever and cost you nothing to drive.
Overall, the car runs great, and I have never had any issues with it, but that being said, it is not perfect. I'll be upfront as I can and detail the good and bad of the car below:
Pros:
- Unmodified engine
- New distributor
- New spark plugs and spark plug wires
- Timing belt and water pumps were replaced about 40,000 miles ago
- New battery
- AC runs cold
- CD player installed
- Rare magnesium wheels
- Clean interior (non-smoker)
- Maintenance manual included
Cons:
- Crack in windshield
- Paint is starting to degrade in a few spots (see pics)
- Front tires probably should be replaced soon, and it could use an alignment
- There is a hole in the muffler, so you may want to replace it
- Windshield wiper motor only runs on one speed
- Rear wheel wells had rusted out spots, so I used a foam sealant to close the holes (see pics)
- Rear window pistons disconnected from window (plastic attachments broke) but you could easily find a fix to reattach them
- Rear license plate light frame rusted out, requiring me to rig the light to stay in
You would probably have to put $300-$500 dollars into the car to bring it up to par, and you would have a great commuter car that will run forever. I am selling it simply because I do not drive it anymore.
Note that I am not looking to provide delivery of the car, so you would either need to pick the car up in person, or arrange for someone to come get it. Cash payment would be preferred upon pickup.
Thanks for looking, and let me know if I can answer any questions.
