Description
Honda Civic SB1 1200
2 Door hatchback
1.2L 4cyl petrol engine carburetted.
Upgraded to 5 speed manual transmission.
Auto-choke.
New weber carb.
Timing and compression have been checked and running perfectly.
Fuel filters and lines have been replaced.
Brakes have been replaced.
New Coil pack.
New Dizzy.
Recently replaced leads and plugs.
custom 2" exhaust.
2x Sets of original rims come with the car.
Set of SSR Formula Mesh 15"
Race Seats.
Omori gauges - oil temp, oil pressure, water temp (not fitted).
Omori Tacho - fitted and working.
Front lower lip.
Sports steering wheel & Original wheel.
I also have a few spare parts including a second gauge cluster, RS Carbs (twin car setup), Dash etc..
Does run beautifully. I Can supply video of it running.
Currently it is not running as i have removed the dash to replace with a fantastic condition second hand one with the factory radio! (which is rare to find!)
Also at the same time i was test routing the gauges.
At the moment the loom isn't connected and just requires it to be re-connected and the dash installed for it to run again. Its an afternoon job for someone.
I really would love to finish up this Gen 1 as they are becoming rare and i absolutely loved driving it.
I spent a fair amount of time and money to source the SSRs and twin RS carb setup, but circumstances have changed and it is no longer
a possibility for me to have it finished. I really need a daily as i work 6 days a week and i just cant devote anytime or more money to it.
Known issues:
The fuel pump had been replaced by the previous owner with an electric one. Its noisy on start-up but not a real issue had mechanics check it and they said it’s fine.
Paint is 30+ years old so is showing wear, which is to be expected.
Body has a few dents again this is to be expected.
Needs mirrors replaced (I was thinking of getting the fender ones)
Interior although complete does need a tidy.
Engine bay wiring could do with a tidy.
Muffler requires replacement
Overall a genuine Gen1 1970s civic.
Im looking for a swap for a ED Civic / EG Civic Vti/Si Hatch in manual.
Rather swap than a sale but will consider reasonable offers around the $3500 mark. More photos can be supplied by request.
