Description
Perfect track or fast road car. Many high performance upgrades -
Now relisted only because buyer didn't pay (no money)
Starts first time, every time. Runs well and drives great. Previously road-registered with engine upgrade (previous registration certificate comes with car).
MANUAL gearbox.
Power steering (rare factory option).
B16A V-Tec high-performance motor professionally installed by a CRX specialist.
Custom, mandrel bent steel high-flow air intake and filter.
Professional, high flow extractors fitted. Performance exhaust system fitted for fast flow (great sound) but still OK for road use.
Sports wheels by CSA, 17 inch fitted with low profile Kumho Sport 215/40/17 tyres with lots of grip.
Stiffened and lowered sports suspension including rear sway bar fitted.
Full RARE racing body kit fitted (including lightweight fibreglass race bonnet) cost was over $3,500 just for the kit. Also included is another front bumper that is a more street-style one.
Professionally installed alarm/immobilizer with central locking by Cyclops - to protect it from thieves and reduce insurance premiums.
Factory air-conditioning fitted, but controls needs to be hooked-up and gassed.
Colour is "Pearl Green".
It may be possible for my son to come and pick you up from your home and bring you to pick-up the car, so that (if you arrange "day registration") you could drive the car home - this would save you the effort of getting someone to drop you off. This will depend upon how far away you live and my son's roster; but we will help if we can (this offer is not part of the sale). Of course, you may choose to collect it on a trailer or tow truck; I am sure you will know best.
Contact and payment must be made within 3 days of the end of auction, either by bank transfer to my account (details provided at check out) if you are sending a transport company to collect; or in cash if you are coming to collect in person. If you want to ask for an alternative, you must do so before the end of the auction (I have to say this because I have had two fake bidders who "won" but then had no money and didn't pay).
Mechanical work just completed:
Because the car has sat for a bit, since my husband passed-away suddenly, I had it checked over by the local mechanic (a former race mechanic):
He removed the fuel tank and completely flushed the tank and fuel system. He replaced the fuel pump and filter. He cleaned the fuel injectors and fitted a brand new battery and put in fresh fuel. It started first go (as it always did) and when he test drove it he said it, "goes like a little rocket!" and it "chirped" between gears. You will know what that means better than me
The car is being sold unregistered. The car was previously registered and driven on the road (but now expired). The longest trip it did was from Brisbane to Adelaide and back again. If you win, the paperwork I have will come with the car, including the previous registration certificate. My husband was planning to turn the car into a track car for Becky but he passed away suddenly before he could complete it - so it has had lots of work done to improve it for the track but has never been raced.
Pictures are recent and of the actual car. The only things that I know might need some work are the clear coat is fading/flaking in a few places with a small patches of surface rust (not a hole) and the interior trim needs to be put back into place (my late husband was planning to fit a roll-cage, but then he got sick).
Thank you to all of you who have shown such interest and for all your questions; I hope that I have answered them well. Please understand I cannot give out any contact details as many of you wanted (it is against ebay rules and I only want to do the right thing). Please ask all and any questions here through ebay (I will answer honestly and as best I can).
Part of my dear late husband's much-loved collection, now being sold to raise money to support my daughter-in-law Becky who is trapped in Japan in hospital with this terrible disease your bid will do a lot of good and help me with paying her huge medical bills THANK YOU !
Thank you for bidding!
