For sale is my 2001 Honda Insight which has a lifetime MPG of 54 and 53.3 since the last fill up!
I drive this car to NYC from Philadelphia 3-4 times a week (work commute). I have been doing this for almost a year and this car has NEVER let me down.
Lat year, I had the local Honda dealer complete the IMA removal (bypass IMA, remove heavy IMA battery and components) - this eliminates any future possibility of an IMA issue. They left it configured so the IMA can be reinstalled/activated (would just need to put in an MA batt, everything else needed is included). The IMA removal was done as recommended by a Honda tech friend of mine as the car drives exceptionally well this way (I believe because the IMA is so heavy so the bypass/battery removal is a good trick!). Most people don't know how to bypass the IMA without the battery installed (huge weight saving) which is why it's less common. Honda did this in less than 2 hours for me :) I have been driving to and from NYC (200 round trip) 3-4 times a week for almost a year and it's been flawless.
As seen in the receipt, the AC was completely overhauled last summer which cost almost $2k. The AC will need to be charged again for the coming summer.
There is a dent in the passenger door as pictured.
Car also includes brand new in package front rotors and pads.
The car needs a good cleaning/de-odorizing. It's an old car and I haven't had it professionally cleaned. I'm getting a 4 door car in the next week or so but the car may have 800 or so miles more when you purchase it as I do 600-800 miles on it a week.
Car has wear/tear/scuffs/marks and interior of a car this age but regardless, its a great car and reliable.
