Description
Presented in Sky Blue Metallic, this car is classy. It has lots of chrome. There is a sleek, jet-age hood ornament just over the Hudson coat of arms ( that lights up at night) on the peak of the grill. The fenders have chrome trimmed headlights and have their own fender ornaments complimenting the one on the hood. There are stainless rain guards on the windows and smooth body lines flow back to rear fenders that almost completely cover the rear tires tucked neatly beneath them. The roofline slopes down dramatically after providing plenty of headroom for back seat passengers. Silver rocker trim runs front to rear giving the car an even lower appearance and Hudson appears boldly in the center of the trunk lid between beautifully styled taillight assemblies while the rear bumper ties the look together nicely. The body is really clean, really straight and all the gaps line up perfectly. It has a nice shade of light blue metallic paint (with one nicely done re-paint) which was it's original 1950 Hudson color. The chrome and trim is exceptional. The bumpers, bumper guards, trunk trim and hood ornament have all been re-chromed. Stainless is all straight and polished. The hubcaps are very nice and help to dress up the car. Dash and gauges are real nice and the blue plastic steering wheel is excellent.
Underside is rock solid. Misc. new parts include – Correct 15 inch Firestone Whitewall tires, 6 volt battery, Clutch, water pump, brakes, hoses, springs, shocks, bushings, etc.
The engine springs into life, with the push of a button, on the first try and runs excellent. You can hardly hear the engine while it is running. The transmission shifts easily and the clutch is new. The suspension is quiet and smooth. The front seat does have 2 small tears in it and we have covered up the bottom in a blanket that matches pretty well. The headliner is original and like brand new. The pictures don't really do the car justice, it is a very beautiful car.
I am selling the car locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please feel free to ask any questions about the car that you may have. six3one,8one6,0three7three. Thank you. Here are some short videos of me driving the Hudson near my house. I tried to show it going into all gears. It drives and handles like a dream. It was a cold and windy day when we filmed this and there is a lot of background noise. The noise in the background is the wind and a garbage truck that was going through the neighborhood style="mso-special-character:line-break">
