Description
1953 Hudson Hornet Restored & Modified 4-door Sedan. Car was fully restored in 2006 with 350 Chevy, exterior metallic blue paint and reupholstered interior in blue velour as close to original style as possible and fitted with seat belts. Also has “Vintage Air” air conditioning installed worth over $5,000! I’ve got all the receipts for the work done on this car totalling over $25,000 that I will include with the car.
Since I’ve owned it I have added Turbo 350 Automatic transmission, replaced side lake pipe exhaust with a twin 2.5” pipe dual muffler exhaust, disc brakes on the front, heavy duty tow bar and wiring for trailer connection in the rear, completely updated the cooling system with brand new large radiator. I’ve also replaced the rear Universal joint and put in a new starter motor an battery.
Starts easily and drives and sounds great. Rumbles like a beefy V8 should at slow speeds as you cruise into a hot rod show but purrs quietly when cruising down the highway.
Paint is showing some wear and tear in places and there is some flaming of the front chrome bumper and two of the side (flat glass) windows have cracks in them. It’s been well driven and lived but I’ve just never had the money, time or know-how to do what it would take to make this head turning car a trophy winning show car but am sure that someone else could with very little effort.
Love this car dearly but health issues have made it very difficult for me to drive such a heavy old car, so I’d love to see someone enjoy it as much as I have.
Buyer to arrange pick up. Happy to help load it onto a transporter if required.
Full payment required within 3 days.
Happy bidding!
