1953 Hudson Hornet

1953 Hudson Hornet Restored & Modified 4-door Sedan. Car was fully restored in 2006 with 350 Chevy, exterior metallic blue paint and reupholstered interior in blue velour as close to original style as possible, all door trims and roof lining were also replaced and are in great condition. The trunk has been sealed and rust proofed and has a rubber lining insert. Front seats fitted with seat belts. Has 2 year old remote control Pioneer MP3/USB/AUX stereo with 4 speakers front and back that sounds awesome!
Also has “Vintage Air” brand new air conditioning installed worth over $5,000! I’ve got all the receipts for the work done on this car totalling over $25,000 that I will include with the car.
Since I’ve owned it I have added Turbo 350 Automatic transmission. It used to have cruise control but has not been reconnected since the 700R trans was replaced with the Turbo 350. I replaced the side lake pipe exhaust with a twin 2.5” pipe chrome tipped dual muffler exhaust, disc brakes on the front, heavy duty tow bar and wiring for trailer and a new large radiator and replaced all the pipes and hoses.
Repairs done over past few years include; Replaced front universal joint and rear drive train. Bearings repacked, new tires, new battery. New starter motor.
Starts easily and drives and sounds great. Rumbles like a beefy V8 should at slow speeds as you cruise into a hot rod show but purrs quietly when cruising down the highway.
Paint done in 2006 is now showing some wear in places and there is some flaking of the front chrome bumper and two of the side (flat glass) windows have cracks in them. It’s been well driven and lived but I’ve just never had the money, time or know-how to do what it would take to make this head turning car a trophy winning show car but it’s still a major head turner wherever it goes and I am sure that someone else could get it show perfect with very little effort.
