The Starting price is significantly below NADA "Clean Resale" Value (this car matches that description) and below KBB "Buy from a private party" value. 2012 Hyundai Sonata. 2.4 Engine. FWD Manuel Transmission. This is my third Hyundai, and it will not be my last. The previous ones (both early 2000s Accents) got up to 150,000 miles with only routine maintainence until I sold them for more than paid for them!
This car is in excellent shape. I am the second owner and the car has been used mostly for long distance travel all of its life. The tires were replaced last November (only 5000 miles on them); the brakes were re-done last December; the clutch was rebuilt last week (even though it did not need it--hydraulic issue: the slave cylinder was leaking, but to get to it, the transmission had to be disassembled, so we redid the clutch WITH GENUINE HYUNDAI PARTS while we were in there). The used clutch parts will be a part of the sale so that in the unlikely possibility that it goes out in the next 100000 miles, you have good replacement parts on hand.
The car has small nicks in the paint as is typical for a used car, but nothing unusual. It's never been wrecked and because of the manual transmission, it averages over 30mpg--pretty impressive for a larger car! The motor runs great--I've religiously changed the oil at the appropriate times, and now the transmission shifts smoothly and without a hitch. Quite the comfortable ride, whether driving to work or on long distances; this car will get up and go if you know how to drive it.
Has CD player, aux input jack, and USB port as well as 2 separate chargers; thumb controls on steering wheel including cruise control. It's adult owned, has never been smoked in, and while the drivers' seat has one small ink spot on it, the interior is otherwise perfect. Because of the new tires and front wheel drive, it even handles well in the snow! It is my daily driver, so the mileage will change; if it does not sell, I'll probably put leather seats in it, new rims, and tint the windows! I love this car, but I like my Landcruisers more and that's why I'm selling this one.
