Description
.
"Moose" as it has been affectionately called. 1970 International Travelall. Almost all there and all original. Spent its whole life in Colorado. Have the original line build ticket for it.
94,858 well cared for original Colorado miles.
Slight patina in all the right spots, interior very clean and original. Original hubcaps. Just coolest ride in your neighborhood.
What's cool is at has factory power steering that you can steer with and drive with one hand.
Moose runs well, but just hasn't been driven a lot. Always starts and runs and idles smoot, but is do for a little tuneup.
The big things that have been done.
Brand new IH Parts America - clutch and pressure plate put in less then 1,000 miles ago.
Brand new suspension with a little lift to give it a good stance.
Items I have and yet to put on. Patch panel for interior front fenders for hood hinge, common place on travelalls to rust. Have the panels and the hinges just need installed. Hood is held up with custom wood hood holder. You can see in the pics. Hood closes and stays in place.
Rust, few rust spots, rear fenders right along the wheelwell. small spots on driver and passenger floorboards, small spot on back accross bottom of tailgate and patina surface on hood and top. Top is in great shape, just as said just sun fade patina.
Missing one section I'd headliner, Travelall has 4 sections of headliner and the third missing, seen this on other travelalls. Anyway new pieces are available even from from eBay.
Everything works in Moose, including the rear sliding electric window. Does not work from outside but inside switch moves it up and down.
The engine is original and still has original paint and some factory marking stickers on it.
Things to make Moose totally ready for today's roads, the sunday drives totally up for but the NASCAR highways, just needs a little more love. Moose needs it front driveshaft lengthened or replaced, when installing the lift, it moved the transfercase and front axle to far apart, so for 4wd it needs the front driveshaft lengthened, reputable shop can do this for about $200. And just a nice tune up. Runs fine, just probably due for new plugs and Rotor.
Driver and passenger seats have tears in them, thats why covered, center console fold down just like the new trucks of today and makes a nice armrest, really for this age and the rest of the interior is in great shape for the year, back seat folds down all the way flat, also what really neat is that it was ordered fastory with vinyl floor, easy to clean up and it still has the factory IH emblem in it.Needs new windshield, has cracks, doesn't leak just needs replaced.
Clean, retro fun, that's what Moose brings you, smile on the face good gas station admiration.
Please contact if you have any questions.
