Description
1951 International pickup. Found this in a policeman's garage that was parked in 1980. Looks and sounds like the engine is newly rebuild as it runs very smoothly. DOES NOT SMOKE! Brakes were dry, so we added brake fluid and bled them a bit and they work! I would go through them completely before making this a daily driver again, but you can definitely take it for a short drive, as is. Fuel tank has very old gas in it. I ran a fuel line to a can in the cab and drove it that way. Carb and fuel pump were clean so I didn't want to pump the garbage out of the tank forward. Tank will need to be cleaned thoroughly.
Engine is Blue and has "220" stamped in the oil pan. VIN tag says 90 HP. 3 speed on the column. Clutch works good but needs to be adjusted. Needs a battery. Head lights work. Original heater works. Heater Blower works. Speedo is not hooked up. Water pump is pumping water well. Odometer reads ZERO miles. Not sure if it is a new speedo or what Needs tires. Tranny and rear end don't make any noise. Does not have the original seat. All in all, this will not take much at all to be a daily driver.
Body is very solid. Virtually no through rust at all. The bed is really the worst of it. The front of the bed floor is separated from the front panel. The front panel is bent. The tailgate is straight but has small rust holes in the top of the hinge roll (bottom of gate). After that, there is only minor surface rust. The floors are very solid. The cab is very solid (all four corners). Softball size dent in top right corner of the cab (pictured). Fenders and hood are very good. Right front fender has softball size dent in it. Left front fender is pushed in at the front edge (does not rub tire). Front bumper is loose and rough, but serviceable.
Original 16" wheels. The hub caps that are there are rough. All the glass is good.
Super good truck to restore or leave as is for that "rat rod" look. The faded green looks like OD green. Add a couple of white stars to the doors and you can deliver supplies to the troops!
Please ask questions as all sales are final. My number is 303-941-0636 if you want to call me. Truck is located in Omaha, NE. Will help shipping company get loaded if need be. May deliver to Denver CO for a small fee ($350 or so). $500 deposit by paypal within 48 hours unless other options are discussed and agreed upon.
