Description
This is a NO RESERVE auction, there is no buy it now price. It takes time, money and effort to post on here, so serious
buyers only please! Only bid if you fully intend to close the deal at the end of the auction. If you are the highest bidder at the end, you bought it!
This is a running, driving scout that has some good options and features, including the 304 v-8 with Holly 2 bbl carburetor, duel exhaust with glass packs. It has a 4 speed manual transmission, Removable half cab fiberglass top, factory tinted door glass, power steering, 4 wheel drive with locking hubs, power disc brakes, deluxe door panels, wood grain dash panel, and deluxe side trim. It has wagon wheels with new 33inch tires. The truck also has a new replacement factory style plastic gas tank, new fuel pump, some fuel lines, and a new battery.
The seats are new , It has new door seals , and top to windshield seal, Steering column has a new lock cylinder/key and turn signal switch. Truck has a new windshield, a new windshield seal. The top and bulkhead are removable, so a full top, hard or soft, could easily be installed. As it is, the half cab tops are rare, I was told about 3 percent of scout ii's left the factory that way. The dash pad is original, has no cracks, and is one of the nicest I have seen in a long time!
The brake system has a newish master cylinder, wheel cylinders, soft lines, all the hardware in the rear brakes has been replaced.
the front bumper has a period WARN winch, the entire assembly looks like it can be removed with just a few bolts.
The body is in good condition in my opinion, no rot or major damage found, a few dings/imperfections here and there.
Floors have a couple small metal patches welded in, and protected with bed liner. The frame is solid, surface rust/dirt on underside.
The engine has good power, and sounds great, starts right up, not too loud. Trans shifts well. 4 wheel drive works.
It was last registered 10+ years ago, and has not been driven much/far/fast since. Odometer is showing something like 54k miles. I have no paperwork to confirm if original or not.
This truck is almost 50 years old, and may need some adjusting/finishing/tinkering, cassette player/radio probably does not work, e-brake and horn are in-op, the seat belts are not installed, but come with it, they should be replaced in my opinion. Back glass is cracked. I have not tried the winch at all. It is not perfect, not a show truck, and it is not a new Toyota, but gets plenty of attention and would make a great toy!
You are bidding to OWN the scout, not the right of first refusal! If you are the high bidder at the end of the auction, you bought it! Therefore the $300 deposit through Paypal is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable. You are welcome to ask questions or set up a time to come see it before the auction ends and I will do my best to accommodate you. Make sure you have the funds and the blessing from any significant other before bidding! Be sure to note that the buyer is responsible for shipping. Fresh Texas Title in hand.
Thanks for looking!
