Description
This is a NO RESERVE auction, there is no buy it now price. It takes time, money and effort to post on here, so serious
buyers only please! Only bid if you fully intend to close the deal at the end of the auction. If you are the highest bidder at the end, you bought it!
This is a running, driving scout that has some good options and features, including the 304 v-8 with new 2 bbl electric choke carburetor. It has a 727 3 speed auto transmission, removable top with sliding side windows, power tilt steering, 4wheel drive with locking hubs, cruise control, am/fm radio, dash clock, deluxe "wood dash bezel, factory tinted windows, power brakes, A/C. It has wagon wheels with new 31inch tires with less than 2 miles on them. Optional chrome front bumper, body side moldings, and aftermarket fog lights are also present.
The truck also has a new gas tank, new aluminum radiator, new electric fuel pump, some fuel lines. It has dual exhaust with new mufflers.
The front bucket seats and rear bench have been reupholstered in brown vinyl with custom embroidery and piping. It has new door seals and windshield to top seal recently installed. Steering column has a new lock cylinder/key and turn signal switch.
The brake system has a new master, rear slave cylinders, new vented/slotted rotors, new pads, and rebuilt calipers, new front and rear soft lines, new brake shoes on the rear, not even broken in yet.
The body is in good condition in my opinion, no rot or major damage found, a few dings/imperfections here and there.
I found 1 patch in the bed area, and a couple on the front floor sections. Frame is good and solid. Being in North Texas, off the road and away from salted roads probably contributed to it's solid structural condition. New taillight lenses were recently installed as well.
The engine starts right up, not too loud, new plug wires/ plugs, air and fuel filter were just installed.
It was last registered in the early1980's! and has not been driven much/far/fast since. Odometer is showing something like 37k miles. I have no paperwork to confirm if original or not, but it must be pretty low for sitting that long. License plate on it is pre- 1986.
This truck is over 40 years old, and may need some adjusting/finishing/tinkering, A good once over, if you will!
The radio probably does not work, nor the emergency brake and horn. It's missing jack/handle/tire iron. A/C compressor is not locked up but has no belt. never tried the cruise control. It is not perfect, not a show truck, and it is not a new Toyota, but will get plenty of attention and would make a great toy!
You are bidding to OWN the scout, not the right of first refusal! If you are the high bidder at the end of the auction, you bought it! Therefore the $300 deposit through Paypal is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable. You are welcome to ask questions or set up a time to come see it before the auction ends and I will do my best to accommodate you. Make sure you have the funds and the blessing from any significant other before bidding! Be sure to note that the buyer is responsible for shipping. Fresh Texas Title in hand.
Thanks for looking!
