Description

I am selling my '67 Scout 800 4-cylinder 4x4 3-speed manual. It has aclean title and 45,415 miles. I just paid the registration throughDecember 2015. It is very original mechanically - almost bone stock. It is complete with rear seat, removable hardtop and a newer aftermarket soft top(see last photo). All the locks work including the rear hatch on the hardtop with the same key as the ignition. The tires are nice vintage style off-road and arealmost new. The truck has been in storage for a few months, so I changed all the fluidsand drove it about 50 miles with no problems. Before it was stored I drove it every weekend and occasionally during the week. The engine runs great and cooling system works well - no overheating. The heater blows nice and hot, the dash lights work, even the original cigarette lighter still works. There is a ding on thefront drivers side corner that is shown in the pictures. I will alsoinclude a custom all-weather cover and a re-print of the owner's manualthat I have. There are a few issues:

- the brake lights are not working but the tail lights, headlights and blinkers work and thebrake pedal switch is new so it's probably a wiring issue
- the inside roof of the hardtop has some surface rust and the paint is peeling (see picture)
- the passenger side fuel tank always reads "full", so it likely needs a new sender unit
- one of the windshield wiper motors is seized
- the windows roll down fine, but require some help to get them back up
- the weather stripping on the doors needs to be replaced

The truck was re-painted at some point and the seats were re-upholsteredto match. The floors in the front have also been coated. As far as Ican tell all the body and floor panels are original. It's not perfect - there are some light scratches andvery minor surface rust here and there. It's a nice truck and has been lots of fun. I hate to part with it, but it's time to move on and I need the cash. Thanks for looking.
