* NO RESERVE*

NO RESERVE
1974 International 4x4 Flat Bed.
Plow ready: With Hydraulic Pump & Manifold and 4-way Control on the dash. I also have the Meyer Plow blade available if the winner desires for an extra fee.
Very Solid body Almost Rust Free.. see photos.
Impressive condition for a 40 year old vehicle.
This is a former USAF base maintanence vehicle with 34,770 original miles. Well cared for with minimal use.
It starts right up It runs and drives fine. It was road worthy as a Farm Use status vehicle and still has the 2009 WV farm use insp. sticker on the windshield.
Truck is not a "Scout." Ebay requires filling in the check field with no other choice.
The 200 Series originally had a 1/2 to 1 Ton load rating.
However, this truck has been Factory Modified for the Air Force for higher weight load. There is a sticker / plate showing dates leaving the factory and then the welding company. I believe it's 1-1/4 or 1-1/2 Ton now.
The Flat-Bed and Plow were added on after it left the Air Force. I know the guy who put the plow on about 7 years ago. He did a few driveways for two winters and then moved away. I have not used the plow ever.
This is a dependable, tough, powerful work horse.
Engine is IH 392 V-8 (pre improve-flow)
With Holley 4-Barrel Carb recently rebuilt.
Engine has a block heater installed.
Dual Fuel Tanks.
Transmission is the T-18 4-speed.
It has cover plates ready for 2 separate PTO's.
I have another transmission available for an additional fee if the buyer is interested after the sale The mighty Clark 285v 5-speed. "Rock Crawler" It was never on this truck. This is an item of interest to International truck ownersScouters
Has a 60 rear and Dana 44 front.
Manual locking hubs. Greasable Shackles.
There are 10 leaf springs which is more than stock.
New Wheels and Tires all around. I replaced the old 16.5" with 16 inch. The tires are Hercules mud & snow.
The truck originally had Dually's in the back.
*I will include all Eleven of the older wheels & tires that still have air with this sale.
The Flat-Bed measures 10'-2" x 7'-3". It's diamond plate steel with plenty of receiver holes for mounting stay bars or entire bed walls all around.
I rebuilt the Headache Rack.
Over all Length is 19 1/2 feet. Wheel center hub to hub is 11 feet.
The body is in nice shape having been out of the weather for much of its life. No wrecks or dent or major scratches. No body filler on it. The underside looks good. see photos.
The truck was black primmer when I got it. I prepped the entire surface, used a commercial red primmer and did the Camo paint job by myself. This took 37 hours and has many coats of paint. BTW only the outside is camo. The inside has an Army green dash and Air Force blue doors.
Glass is good all around with no cracks. Windows work fine, But are a little sticky when cranking.
Seat is original with no wear or rips. Still firm. Has light stain though.
Does Not have power steering.
Truck does not leak oil.
Maintenance and work done:
New heavy duty Battery
New Plugs, Wires, Distributor.
Fuel filter. Vacuum lines.
Rebuilt Carburetor.
Changed Gear Box and Differential oil.
Radiator was replaced 7 years ago. Less than 1500 miles ago.
It does have a small pin hole from encountering a tree branch.
Needs:
Parking Brake.
Tail lights connected.
Dependability:
The truck starts and drives fine. Sometimes there is slight trottle hesitation until it warms up. I can go to the local store or a neighbors farm no problem. However, it has not been driven on the highway for long periods for a few years. It drove to West Virginia from Ohio with no problem when my neighbor bought it in 2007. It's currently not tagged or street legal. The tail lights are mounted but not wired up. So although the truck is reliable, I'm not sure how far and hard it should go to it's new home without being towed.
Summary:
The truck is in impressive condtion for it's age thanks to its previous owners and light use. It is solid and capable for utility purposes with lots of life remaining. It is not new or perfect, but with minor work it will perform anything its owner requires. It has great potential as restoration project as well.

Notice:
This is clearly an AS IS auction.
Although an honest effort has been made to describe the truck acurately, be advised that because vehicle is 40 years old we make no claims and can not make any guarantee to its condition or reliability.
Truck is for sale locally as well.
I have the right to end the auction at any time.
