1979 International Harvester Scout II – Rallye package, 345 V8, 727 Auto, Dana 44 axles (3.27 ratio), Dana 20 transfer case
Painted/restored in 2001 & in storage since 2009. Rust-free body, solid floors, doors, front fenders, rear quarter panels. Body tub Rhino-lined, poly body mounts. SSII grille & tail gate inserts. Hardtop (sliding windows), soft top & bikini top. Slight stain on LH rear quarter panel decal below gas cap. Custom front & rear bumpers. Charcoal carpet & IH logo on floor mats. “Leather” factory bucket seats & rear bench (from a Shadow Scout II donor), center console. Tilt column with factory sport steering wheel. Smittybilt rollbar (cage kit available). Pioneer CD player & speakers.
Engine: Good compression across the board. 392 IH square bore intake manifold, 600cfm Edelbrock carb, Davis UnifiedIgntion (DUI) HEI conversion. Dual exhaust, balance pipe, Flow-Pro mufflers. 4-core rad rebuilt in 2001. Runs good.
Transmission: 727 auto with mild shift kit. Transmission/torque converter re-built in 2002.
Suspension/Tires: Stock springs with Rancho RS5000 shocks, steering stabilizer. Like new 31x10.50 BFG All-Terrain KO’s on factory wagon wheels. Has Strait-Steer frame brace (wasn’t needed) & power steering frame brace. Triangle 4” spring lift available.
