Description
1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II 2+2 4.2 Litre 6-Cylinder.
Owned by a discerning collector, this E Type is a show quality car. Having just over 60,000 miles traveled since new, a car of this originality is rare today in the E-Type market.
The car is finished in the original color combination of Carmen Red with Black Connolly Leather. The interior is original with the exception of the two front seats. They have been rebuilt with fresh foams and hides from the UK. The car has just received a Concours quality bare metal re-spray by one of the leading auto restoration firms in South Florida. From the factory this E Type car is equipped with the options of Air Conditioning and the 3 Speed Automatic Transmission.
While in the current ownership, the Jaguar has undergone a full and comprehensive servicing with a British Car Specialist. The services having been preformed include replacing all fluids and filters. The braking system was thoroughly gone through, replacing all four calipers, as well as the rotors and pads. A new pair of auxiliary radiator fans along with a fresh water pump have been fitted. All of the body and window seal rubber were replaced, as the original had begun to deteriorate from age. Also, a new correct OEM, not an aftermarket, windscreen glass was sourced and installed with the fresh seal, due to the original beginning to delaminate. A complete, manifold back Bell Exhaust Stainless Steel system was also sourced and fitted to the car. The exhaust note is fantastic. There has been a new correct steering wheel fitted, but the original will be supplied with the car.
The drivability and handling of the car was improved with a fresh set of Vredestein tires with new inner tubes. The trailing arm bushings have be replaced, along with stub axle seals and the wheel seals. The overall drive quality of the car is tight and responsive, with no play or wandering.
The body is straight and shows no previous evidence of bodywork from corrosion or accident damage. The undercarriage is clean, as is the engine compartment. The chrome trim is bright and free of any major flaws. The rear cargo area and spare tire well are like new. The spare wire wheel spare, the factory jack, lead wheel hammer, and center knock off tool, as well as the original owner’s manual are with the car.
In person inspections are highly encouraged. All inspections of the vehicle must be completed by the close of the auction. The car is in Fort Lauderdale and is available to view by appointment only. Please get in contact to set up an appointment.
Payment is by way of a bank wire transfer or certified funds. Neither the car nor the title will be released until funds have cleared.
THIS CAR IS OFFERED FOR SALE AS IS, WHERE IS WITH NO IMPLIED, VERBAL, OR WRITTEN WARRANTY OR GUARANTEES.
