Description
1965 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Roadster
This stunning restoration was done where the car currently resides in Vancouver, BC Canada by a professional Jaguar restorer a few years ago with minimal miles accumulated since the restoration was completed. This Series 1 is finished in Midnight Blue with a Red leather interior and the car shows extremely well. The car has been awarded numerous trophies at local events including the prized "James Bond" Award at the Van Dusen Gardens All British Field Meet here in Vancouver. This is the largest all-British concours event in Western Canada.
Although not a fully prepared concours car, this car comes about as close as a "Driver" calibre car can. Great attention to detail and finishing has been paid throughout. The entire car is very tidy and well cared-for, although it has been driven since it's restoration. Everything appears in order and there are no stories or issues to mention. Additionally, the engine compartment has been lovingly detailed and presents extremely well when the hood is opened. The choke works perfectly, and the car starts and idles flawlessly within seconds of start up. Recent servicing including a full synchronization of the three carburetors to keep it running smoothly. Any and all issues have been addressed in the more than required servicing. Rattles or shakes at normal speeds are virtually nonexistent and the brakes work very well with no pull, squeak or pulsation. The top was replaced during restoration and functions as it should.
The only aftermarket additions have been seat belts for both front seats and a cassette player was added many years ago.
While this car cannot claim to be a flawless example, it is about as good as one would want to own and operate. It's condition cosmetically and mechanically far exceeds most examples available in the market today, and represents a good collectible piece that can be enjoyed and driven as it appreciates.
Please enquire with any questions you may have.
