Description
Selling my matching number 1969 e-type coupe. This car is a semi-barn find since it has not been on the road since 2001 at the latest and appear so have had only 4,000 odd miles put on it since 1988. As far as I can determine the car is completely rust free altho' surface rust was found in the passenger foot well as well as in one corner of the trunk well. The car has been re-painted at some time and definitely needs redoing. The car starts, runs and stops but I have not driven it. The odometer shows 72830 miles which I think is correct due to the bit of history I have. The mileage is 1986 was 68,168, in 1994 - 72,492 and at present 72,830. The car now has triple SU's with the correct 4.2 manifold. A set of Stromberg carbs and manifolds is included with the car in the event the purchaser wants to go back to original. Also included is a tool roll set of Jaguar tools which, I am told, is the correct one for the car. The lights, turn signals, wipers ect. are all working. I have an original steering wheel in good condition which could be swapped for the after market one shown in the picture. The seats appear to have been recently redone in red vinyl. The headliner and sun visors are in excellent condition. The picture of the car out of doors shows what appears to be a poor shut-line on the rear hatch, this is caused by the hatch being partially open. The actual shut-lines on the hatch as well as those on the rest of the car are all good. I think this car would be a good candidate for a high level restoration or possibly drive the car as is after a bit of sorting. The car spent most of its life around the Seattle area and still has the Washington registration (title). This would make life easy for the the purchaser if the car was to be repatriated to the USA.
