Description

1967 Jaguar mk 2 3.4 automatic RIGHT HAND DRIVE
DRIVERSURVIVORREVIVOR
This one is great, but not perfect in every way. Parked side by side, this one fits in with the best of them, but the closest of inspections would reveal paint imperfections and patina. That said, this a great looking car high in the "driver" category. This car was driven every day and will be again - hopefully by you!
Beautiful slate blue, maroon/regal red interior
History -- This car was purchased new in Canada and made it to California after two years. It was purchased by an adjunct Stanford professor who commuted with it until the middle 90's. After 122,000 miles, the professor took it off the road to be refurbished. He told me, quite proudly, that he always drove it 80 mph and got over 20 miles per gallon all the time. Unfortunately near the end of the refurbishing, he had years of troubles with his eyesight and had to store all of his jaguar projects -- which I bought from him in 2007.
CONDITION -- This car has been refurbished mechanically -- engine rebuilt, later model jaguar automatic gear box , power steering, brakes, generator -- all rebuilt.
Chrome is good to great original condition
Paint is a good looking driver quality -- there are nicks and imperfections, but small and do not detract
Wood -- dash and door trim nicely refinished other pieces are in original condition
Upholstery -- very nice cloth over original leather
Daily Driver Modifications -- XKE wheels and radial tires, cloth interior, later model jaguar 3 spd automatic
I also have the original steel wheels and hub caps that we can swap if you prefer
Questions about Rust
This is a concern on cars this old, especially Jaguars. This one was driven though California weather, but always cared for. IT IS NOT RUSTY. Sills are solid and clean, door bottoms clean, body gaps appropriate. Rear Spring perches are dry and solid - car has much of its original or early bottom coat in tact. I can see where there have been some repairs done to the jacking points - all solid, a small lip underneath the rear bumper shows a repair, and also under the front grill.
Other Concerns:
turn signal stalk is sloppy but works. Heater Control valve is new and so is cable - needs to be routed properly. Includes original fuel pump - currently running new aftermarket pump. Mechanical oil pressure guage is aftermarket - original electric and sensor included. Windscreen washers are not hooked up - not sure if the parts are original.

SITUATION -- I have lost my storage and cannot complete final run in details. Its all together, starts, runs and stops, but I have not driven it hundreds of miles. You must know that little things will need to be sorted, tightened, and tuned after driving a while, but its not anything major -- there are no major parts to be replaced or large issues to address -- just the stuff that is normal when bringing a car back into service -- minor tuning and tightening.

$1500 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT DUE 24 HOURS AFTER AUCTION END.
