Description

I have decided to sell this Series 1 XJ6 due to health reasons. I have all the original books and warranty card (as per photo). The original engine was replaced by a prior owner and it is seized so it will either need a rebuild or replacement if too far gone.that I do not know. The deal is, for the asking price you get the vehicle plus it's own parts (radiator etc) and a grey velour trim or a dark blue leather trim (complete) and another second hand engine (condition unknown) which you would need to remove at your own cost OR I can get this done at your cost say $100.00. If you do not want the trim or the spare engine, then I am prepared to sell the vehicle for $800 as is and unregistered of course .please no offers below this and understand my terms! There a few minor corrosion spots (see additional photos), but to be honest when I purchased it I was not concerned about this as it was in my opinion in very good condition for it's age ( I have owned many many examples of 1,2s and 3s) and with it's history, I consider very rare. Clear funds must be in my hands prior to pick up including pay pal but prefer EFT but not giro post as a deposit will take 7 days to clear. Further enquiries are welcome, but please note that this is a vehicle that will need restoring and you cannot drive it out of the shed! You will need a car trailer with a winch or a tilt tray truck to pick up. If you are located in SEQ or northern NSW then I am happy to arrange a Tilt tray quote for you. Also have had dealings with a Brisbane based car carrier who seem reasonable in their prices and service. Can direct you to them if required.
30/9/15- more photos added of affected areas of corrosion and a snap of the velour/vinyl trim in one series 1 parts car and snaps of dark blue trim in another series 1 parts car.the velour trim can be fitted, with a stitching repair to the driver's seat base and arm rest recover to another vehicle and I consider would be nice, however the leather trim in my other parts car would need a redo (have not inspected the trim under the lambswool seat covers).up to the buyer which trim to take. The timber door tops would also need a rubdown and re-varnish. The buyer can decide which trim to have removed.
