JAGUAR XJ SERIES 2 1974 253 V8.
V8 Jag
I bought this car not so long ago sight unseen and when I picked it up I realised it needed more work than I can handle.
I am giving an honest description of the car and don't want to mess anyone around with miss leading or false details so I will describe as accurate as possible.
The car has rust in the front floor pans left and right side it has rust in the drivers side pillar and also front windscreen ( see photos ) every where else seems ok.
The body panels are straight and not to bad the paint is faded and will need re spray chrome work all ok bumpers etc.
I removed front and back seats and carpet to inspect floors for rust so interior out of car (The door trims, carpet and head lining are shot).
Engine is a 253 v8 with a trimatic transmission which has been fitted and passed by an engineer The car was last registered in nsw with this conversion 2003.
The 253 v8 engine does run but is not good it has blow back and blows plenty of smoke and will need a rebuild or 350 chev (good replacement) will drop straight in.
The jag needs a fair amount of work but is well worth it would be a fun car to play with it would make a great rat rod .
