My car is absolutely stunning and only for sale because I have been offered one of the very last 2002 X308 Sovereigns. Otherwise this car would not be for sale !!!
This car cost £40,808.46 in 2000!!! When Mr Mansfield of London SW1 purchased the car and is a high specification XJ8. Subsequently the car was owned by a business man from Bedfordshire since 2003.
My car comes with a complete service history including many invoices for virtually every bit of work undertaken on the car. It has the original Jaguar Finance Statement showing the purchase price and every MOT from new. It has just been fully serviced and will not need any attention for another 7,000 miles, giving the new owner cost & trouble free motoring.

THIS IS A MASSIVE £4300.00 IN OPTIONAL EXTRAS FITTED TO AN ALREADY HIGH SPECIFICATION CAR, MAKING THIS A QUITE UNIQUE & EXCEPTIONAL AND SPECIAL CAR.
External Condition.
The car looks absolutely resplendent, in Mica Sapphire Blue metallic paint with ivory pinline to both sides. The colour is stunning. The condition of the paintwork is outstanding with only some tiny marks but in keeping with a much newer car with lower mileage. There is no rust. There are one or two small marks but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance of the bodywork. Alloy Wheels are Jaguar Celtic in excellent condition.Tyres all are Avon. There is no “get you home” spare tyre as The car was supplied with a full size “Celtic” wheel and tyre as an optional extra never been on the road. The tool kit, a factory order option is complete and shows little evidence of ever having been Used.
Mechanical Condition
Mechanically the car is excellent, as one would expect of a car with genuine low mileage and predominantly Main Dealer service history. The engine is smooth, quiet, does NOT smoke or burn oil. There is NO evidence of any oil leaks from either engine or transmission. The cooling system is all ok with No leaks or water usage. All fluids are clean and up to the correct levels. The transmission is quiet and changes up and down without fuss or bother. Performance is brisk and economy is as per the handbook.
The car has had no expense spared in it’s mechanical upkeep throughout it’s life evidenced by the masses of bills and service stamps. It had to have a replacement Speedo cluster at 39k miles documented and undertaken by Jaguar main dealer Evans Halshaw. It also had a replacement gearbox in 2006 by A1 gearbox specialists of Bedford.
The most important bit.
In 2004 Timing chain tensioners and guides were replaced with the latest metal tensioners. This work was carried out by Jaguar main dealers Evans Halshaw. It is rare for many X308’s to have invoices or evidence of this work being undertaken. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT IT IS DONE AS IF TENSIONERS FAIL IT WILL RENDER THE CAR AS SCRAP. All early cars were fitted with weak plastic tensioners and some have been changed, but many not. 2nd generation tensioners were not much more reliable. In 2004 3rd generation metal tensioners would have been fitted. To have this work carried out today by a Jaguar main dealer would be in excess of £1900. With my car you have complete peace of mind that the work has been completed to a high standard with the later parts.

Interior Condition
The interior of the car is excellent and quite clearly has been cared for well maintained. Carpets are clean and in unworn condition condition. Carpets in the boot area are “like new” when traditionally are stained and dirty in this load carrying area. All the seats are spotlessly clean in Barley Leather. There is small wear to the drivers seat but really not serious. All wood trim is bright and polished with no cracking or scratching. All switchgear is fully operational, including the Air Conditioning & Climate Control blows ice cold. There is NO “lift” to the dashboard and the headlining is immaculately clean with NO traditional sagging.
This car cost £40,808.46 & today’s value £63,253,63 !!!
Faults.
One or two small marks but the car is EXCEPTIONAL for the age and mileage of the vehicle.

This must be one of the very best X308 series Jaguars on Ebay, combining lively but economical 3.2 litre engine with the massive specification, and the amazing colour scheme of the car. Whoever buys my car will be chuffed to bits. It will not be sold for a few hundred pounds so please no offers of “cash waiting can be there later today” type offers, they will be ignored.
