1989 Jaguar Xjs Convertible

The Jaguar factory produced this beautiful, stunning, and RARE triple black Jaguar XJ-S V-12 Convertible. It left the Coventry, England plant in July of 1988 and its presence commands attention when driven. Only a few hundred of these convertibles were factory produced in 1988 making it one of the first 1989 triple black convertibles imported to the US market (keys chains still have the import tags with the Jaguar logo). 1989 was the first year Jaguar produced and released its factory built convertible.
This car was owned by a wealthy couple who occasionally used the vehicle at their summer home. Summer season driven only. Heated garage kept year round. Maintained nicely by a Bentley/Rolls Royce dealership and no expense was spared on its upkeep over the years.
The engine performs flawlessly and is quiet and factory "like new" and strong. Absolutely no engine leaks of any kind. Under carriage and factory exhaust system still appears factory fresh. Mufflers and other components have the Jaguar stamping, logos, and small XJS factory hang tags and stickers.
All power options including radio and power antenna work. Brand new BF Goodrich Radial TA RWL 235/60/R15 tires including matching spare were just installed last month. Not everyone prefers the raised white letter tires and they can simply be reinstalled with the black wall facing out. The tires themselves, I believe, are the best for an XJ-S and the quality is unsurpassed. New shocks and bushings were also just completed along with an additional $3500 worth of recent general upkeep and maintenance items including new battery and professional cut off key switch for security and long term storage.
The original factory installed German Sonnenland Canvas convertible top and matching boot cover are in like new/perfect condition with no damage or fading. All of the original glass and chrome is in pristine condition. The all black soft and supple leather interior is also in like new/perfect condition with absolutely no damage or fading. The factory installed Burl Walnut wood trim is in perfect condition with a beautiful high gloss finish including the gear shift ski slope area.
The exterior paint is near factory flawless with a deep, mirror like shine. Ultra low verified and documented mileage (27,157). All factory manuals and Jaguar leather owners case, custom car cover, and a many dated 1989 rare original Jaguar collectible items that are not available for purchase by the general public are included with this amazing automobile.
