Description
For sale, my Jaguar XJ-S, what can I say about this car its an absolute dream to drive, it pulls like a train and is a smooth drive. I am sad to have to sell it, but due to now having a restricted driving licence because of a medical condition I would like to see the car go to a new home.
I have changed the motor wiper motor myself and although the part was second hand (obviously you wont now get new parts for these classic cars) this was fitted only a while ago and the wipers are all now in working order. The paintwork is in very good condition, as is the interior.
It comes with a very good CD player, the car's air condition works, it has cruise control and other gadgets for those people that like them. I have recently just had this put through the MOT, there was some welding work carried out but since taking some photos today I have unfortunately noticed the panel that they worked on they have carelessly not sprayed the panel back with the original red paint, I honestly cant believe a garage could have such lack of thought especially on a classic car like this. I will be calling the garage to hopefully rectify this, but if not I will consider this in the price (pictures are attached so that you can see what I am talking about) All the MOT paperwork is available to see should you require this.
There is part service history that comes with the car and I also have all the documentation and the log books and car manual which goes back from when the car was registered in 1990.
The bad Points The lighting on the dash board doesn't work, I have googled how to fix this and it looks like this can be done quite easily by pulling forward the steering wheel and getting into the dash board that way. Bulbs are cheap but I just haven't had the time to do this unfortunately. The car was repaired and/or accident damaged at some point before I purchased it (I was told about this upfront) but it didn't put me off as the car has been fully identity checked and had a brand new V5 issued so it is completely road worthy.
Good Things Since I have had the Jag, I have not had any problems with it at all, it drives well, its comfortable, its just beautiful to look at (I'm bias) It's cheap on insurance as it falls into the classic car insurance category ( I paid just over £187.00 a year ) you may want to check this out before you commit to anything. The car is lovely but please just be mindful that it isn't the most economical car on the market! I also knew this and knew what to be prepared for, to be honest it wasn't actually as bad as I initially thought and you get about 22/23 mpg. The Registration plate on the car is private, and this will be sold with the car also. Also, I have details of a jaguar dealer who can get all the parts you ever need for the car at a very good discounted price - I can give you all these details if you are interested in the car.
Please contact me if you would like to see the car, or take it out for a test drive. I require an immediate deposit of £200.00 once the auction has ended, and the rest of the money to be paid cash in hand. Any questions please ask. The car is being advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to remove the advert at any given time.
Please also note that this is not a forced sale, so I will not accept silly offers and do not want to deal with time wasters. The car is sold as seen and has been described to the best of my knowledge. Thank you
