Description

I am selling my 1951 Jaguar XK 120 Replica.
This Jaguar is an exact replica of a Milestone Car, named by Sir William Lyons, its creator, XK 120 as it was the first publicly available car to exceed 120 miles per hour back in 1947 or 48. It was, and is, one of the most beautiful cars ever built, and is consideredd a Milestone Car. Without a very careful inspection, one cannot tell it from the original, the body is that well done. And, it has original Jaguar trim, stainless metal and ornamentation and genuine wire wheels.
It is a fiberglass body on a custom frame, powered by a late model Buick engine -- which actually gives it more power than the original -- so it is very swift. The car has bucket seats, custom instrumentation and a very good radio. It has both the tonneau cover seen in the photos and a roadster/convertible top which I have never tried to put on as I only drive it in fair weather. It also has a full set of side screens in the trunk, just like the original car, and a very good modern heater -- should you choose to go out in the elements.
It is very good running car with its automatic transmission which shifts just as you would expect it should. You could drive the car anywhere as it tracks nicely showing a very well sorted out frame and suspension. It is surprisingly comfortable, probably more so than the original car. I have taken numerous short trips and it never fails to please.
Great car, good components and a beautiful body. What more could you want? You will not be disappointed. And the six-cylinder exhaust note is pure Jaguar, harkening back to an earlier time.
There is no warranty, of course, and you are buying this car as-is, where-is. But if it had any problems at all, I would tell you because I don't like those phone calls later. It's a very nice car and one which will give real rewards every time you drive it. The hood needs a slight adjustment to fit properly.
The title is clear and Texas titled it as a real Jaguar.
I will accept PayPal for any deposit, but also will take a personal check for the down payment. The balance is due by either cash, cashier's check or wire transfer. There is no hurry to pick up the car as it can stay in covered, climate-controlled parking until you can arrange shipping. I just like looking at it. Thanks for bidding.
