You are looking at a excellent Driver-Rally quality 1952 Jaguar XK-120 FHC, M ( C-Type head, wire wheels and dual exhaust exiting together at the left rear. ) Numbers matching. Owned and expertly maintained by the same gentleman for many years. The owner is a well know Jaguar collector and motoring expert winning several JCNA National Championships. He set-up the car to drive in rallies and as a reliable driver. The car runs strong and has very smooth power, fitted with a modern 5 spd transmission it shifts easily threw all gears making it a real pleasure to drive, also fitted with electric cooling fan and larger radiator core, never ran hot or over heated. In 2011 excepted to participated in the 1,000 mile long Colorado Grand Rally. The Colorado Grand takes place in Vail Colorado. The course runs thew The Rocky Mountains over several high mountain passes, she ran flawlessly. The body and sheet metal are in great condition, no signs of rust or collision damage, or of repairs. Door gaps are very nice, consistent and tight. The right front fender has two cracks in the body filler, just below the headlamp and above the bumper, ( Pictured ) the car rolled forward in the garage and hit the shop bench. The underside of the body and the chassis are also all original and in great condition, rust & damage free. The paint is of fair quality, inspect closely you will see a few chips and scratches but it shines up nicely and presents well at shows and rallies, always getting lots of complements.
The engine was recently taken out and torn-down, inspected, freshened, Balanced, new clutch, light weight flywheel. valves and springs replaced as needed, re-core radiator and the rear main rope seal was replaced with a modern one piece seal. Included in this sale are The Heritage Certificate and the original gear box.
Great restoration candidate or touch-up the ares and keep driving it.
