Description
This car chassis number 670220 clearly stamped on the frame and was the 36th steel body xk120 built. This is a steel frame, steel body, aluminum hood, doors and trunk production car. The engine block in this car is marked W 1463-8 and it is original. I have a JL gearbox and it is in good working order. The body number is stamped F1288 also verified as the original body.
No rear skirts but, I have the channel beads that finishes the look. replaced rear shock links and I have period seat belts not installed. I have a set of new front marker lights not installed. I have replaced one rear wheel cylinder but have new ones still in boxes. I also have all new ball joints but car doesn't need them yet. The top frame is not installed but, i have it in a box too.
I completely rebuilt the engine and head June 2013, I re-sleeved the block back to standard size and installed a modern rear main seal. I rebuilt steering box, upgraded the transmission with a modern 5 speed kit designed specially for the xk120. Other upgrades include flame thrower distributor, solid core plugwires, electric fan, alloy fuel tank, steering mantel with signal light switch, stainless steel sport exhaust and Dynalite alternator which looks like the original dyno generator.
