Description
2013 Jaguar XKR 5ltr with Speed Black Pack
Firstly, as I'm not hiding anything, this car has been subject to an insurance claim earlier this year and is subsequently on the insurance register as a Category D (the least damaged category). I have included a picture of the car before I had it repaired so that you can see that it was just superficial panel damage. The items that needed work/replacing were : Bonnet, windscreen replacement, front bumper, drivers headlight, front splitter(part of the speed black pack), rear bumper, rear tail light, rear diffuser and rear spoiler(both parts of the speed black pack). The bodyshop that carried out the full repairs were Dunmow Coachworks, please look at their website as it shows the calibre of the vehicles that they work on and the highest standards that they work to.
Once the vehicle was repaired I had it serviced at a main Jaguar service dealer before I collected it, as it was then 2 years old. The car came with only 1 key and no service/manual pack when I bought it so I have purchased brand new original Jaguar items to replace these.
I am a perfectionist when it comes to my cars, and when I collected the Jaguar I could see very faint swirl scratch marks in the panels that hadn't been newly painted, where the car had been washed either at a cheap hand car wash or a drive through mechanical car wash. I booked the car in at a local detailer to me and the whole car had a 3 stage machine polish. ALL paintwork on the car is now like glass and doesn't have a single minute scratch on it.
The car comes fully loaded with all the optional extras you could want, namely:
Upgraded Bowers and Wilkins stereo system - Sounds amazing!
Electrically adjustable memory seats
Heated screens
Reverse camera
All round parking sensors
Heated and cooling seats
Heated steering wheel - Very nice at this time of the year
6 disc in dash cd changer
Bluetooth
Keyless entry
Extended leather to dash
Piano black dash
etc
The price paid by the original owner of this car was nearly £90,000!
This XKR isn't actually black (which is what I first thought), it's a lovely dark grey metallic. When the sun hits the paintwork it has the most amazing large metallic flecks in the paint and adds another element to how awesome this car is.
This car is very rare, as it came optioned with the Speed Black Pack. This pack added front splitters, a rear diffuser, sports exhaust, larger rear spoiler, black wheels and further black details, and also raised the top speed to 174mph. This pack alone cost £4000
The exact same model/spec/colour of XKR is for sale on Autotrader at just under £45k, so a large saving can be had. I did all this work and made this car perfect as my plan was to keep it for a minimum of 2 years. However, for work purposes I have needed to order a new Ford Ranger truck, so sadly my XKR dream has to come to an early conclusion. My loss is your gain.
Please ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer them quickly.
Thanks for reading.
