Description
For sale is my Stunning 2005 Jaguar X-Type Sport AWD with the excellent 2.5 V6 Engine, which is silky smooth, economical and powerful.
This has been my daily driver since last year and I have covered some 8000 miles in that time during which it has not missed a beat. It is currently showing 90,000 miles, but that will rise as the car is still in daily use.
It has just passed its MOT, so carries a full 12 months. It comes with both original flip keys, fully programmed and working with remote central locking, alarm and immobiliser. All original dealer pack complete with all the books. Full Service History, all old MOTs available online etc etc.
It has just been treated to the following:
Full Service with everything changedNew rear diff oilNew front discs and padsNew front anti roll bar drop linksNew Lambda Sensor4 new Michelin Pilot Sport 3 TyresFull 4 Wheel alignmentFull body machine polishIt has also had a new transfer box from Jaguar at some point in the not-too-distant past and wears the Official Jaguar exchange plaque.
The overall condition of the car is stunning. The bodywork is exceptional for a car of this age and sports only the odd tiny blemish. The underside is excellent too. No scabby sills as is common on these. The only blemish on them is where they have been jacked up just off the jacking point by a hapless person at some point so the seam is slightly bent, which has happened to most cars at some point.
The drives and handles superbly. Pulls and sounds great.
The interior is in great shape, with only very minor wear to the drivers bolster to report, but excellent for the age.
I've recently replaced the leather gear gaiter which had a split in it and the two rear exterior door rubber trims below the windows which are prone to bubbling on these cars and 95% of them look terrible. These items were all replaced for brand new, genuine Jaguar items.
The car is also very high spec. The only options I know that it's missing are Sat Nav (not a patch on a modern Tom Tom anyway) and CD Multichanger (It still has front loading CD with the facility for a changer, so can very easily be retrofitted if desired).
It comes with heated seats, air con, climate control, electric windows, mirrors, seats, heated front windscreen and mirrors, rear parking sensors etc etc etc.
Please view a few X-Types and then come and view this one. I saw 20+ before buying this one. I owned an early X Type 2.5 Saloon from almost new, so I searched long and hard for one which was up to scratch as most are very tired now, but this one is superb. I paid strong money for the car and have spent more money on improving it since then, but it's been worth it as it's a please to both drive and look at.
It's a very stylish and practical car which gets positive comments wherever it goes. Being an estate in sport spec, with a manual gearbox and in that stunning colour it really does stand out above all other X-Types for me.
The price is £3000 firm for the car, which represents so much car for the money.
I no longer require an estate car and am looking for a smaller hatchback, but am not interested in any swaps or px's.
Cash on collection only please.
Thanks for looking!
Mike
