Description
For sale is 2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ (last production year) in a rare burgundy color with a desirable black interior. This Jeep is equipped with robust 4.0 inline 6 engine, AW4 transmission, and np231 transfer case, which are know for their reliability. It has only 91000 miles, and the condition of the car very much shows that. The Jeep is rust free, and very clean inside and out, with no damage to the exterior and immaculate interior with no rips or tears. It was my daily driver for the last year and a half. During that time the following has been done to the vehicle.
Exterior:
On the exterior I added a front Goliath Off Road bumper with a 9500lbs Smittybilt winch, rear Goliath Off Road bumper with a tire carrier and rotopax mounts, a Goliath Off Road modular roof rack with aluminum T-slot extrusions (good for accessories such as bike racks or roof top tent), and Goliath Off Road rock sliders with a step. Both bumpers and roof rack were professionally powder coated in satin black. The rock sliders were sprayed with raptor liner for more protection.
Lower portion of the body as well as the grill were sprayed with raptor liner.
Headlights were changed for nicer, and much brighter LED units.
On the side of the Jeep, pocket style fender flares were added to give the jeep a more aggressive look.
The jeep was also professionally repainted, in the factory burgundy color, by the previous owner.
Interior:
The interior of this Jeep is in great condition. A steering wheel swap was performed, for a nicer, more modern steering wheel from a Jeep Wrangler. Headliner was redone with a plaid pattern material. All weather floor mats were added to the front, back and trunk area. The jeep also received a nicer radio from Pioneer, as well as better speakers all around.
Suspension, wheels, and tires:
In the front suspension, a factory front axle, low pinion dana 30 was swapped for a stronger high pinion unit. Rear axle is a Chrysler 8.25". Both axles have Yukon 4.56 gears installed, as well as all new bearings and seals, and nice aluminum G2 differential covers.
Front dana 30 has all new U-joints, ball joints, wheel hubs, rotors, calipers, pads, and steel braided brake lines.
Rear Chrysler 8.25" has all new brake system, new drums, and steel braided brake lines.
Front has a heavy duty 1-ton steering from Goliath Off Road, powder coated black, as well as a Goliath Off Road solid rod trackbar with a drop bracket. Front springs are 4.5" from Rubicon Express, rear leaf springs are 2" from Rubicon Express, paired with 2" shackles. Shocks are Bilstein 5100 all around. Front long arm suspension was also installed, to make this jeep ride much better with the amount of lift that was added. To make the jeep more stable on the road, I also added a set of adjustable sway bar disconnect links.
The jeep has 5 new 33" Falken Wilpeak M/T tires and 16" Fuel Beast wheels in dark grey finish.
Jeep received a slip yoke eliminator for the transfer case, as well as custom driveshafts front and rear.
I also installed a new steering gear box.
Engine, transmission, and transfer case:
This is a stock 4.0 engine, original to the car. It has been maintained very well, and all the services were done. It has upgraded silicone coolant hoses, and cold air intake. On top of that it has a lot of new parts and components, installed recently, such as new radiator, spark plugs, water pump, oil pan, etc.
The Transmission has been serviced with new filter, new oil and new oil pan.
Transfer case has been serviced with a new fluid, and resealed to prevent leaks.
Exhaust was also done, utilizing a cat back system from Dynomax.
and a lot more!
