Description
1997 Jeep Cherokee Country4.0 liter inline 6 with an automatic transmission, 4x4 works great, power windows and locks all work, tailgate works (although the air cylinders are weak so it can sag a bit), brand new premium battery, recently flushed and replaced coolant, newer radio, interior in good shape. vehicle has a hitch and an auxiliary transmission cooler
as stated above in condition the Jeep has a few minor issues.
Rusty rocker panels: the rockers on this jeep have been rusting from the inside out, so if the rust bothers you the panels will need to be patched or replaced. there are a few other small rust spots on the vehicle which could be easily repaired but do not effect the functionality of the jeep
One of the front wheel bearings might need replacement: it makes some noise when driving.
Tires will need to be replaced in 5-10k miles
Hood latch inside car broke, i removed the lever and currently use pliers for pulling the cable to open the hood, along with a few other minor issues.
Overall a great reliable vehicle which could be used as a daily driver or some type of project. Powertrain in good working and under body very solid. Paint in good shape and overall (with the exception of some rust) looks pretty good for a 97.
