1980 JEEP CJ-5
No Rust! Excellent floors, fenders, firewall, rockers, and frame. When Iwas in the market I looked a long time to find one that wasn't eat upwith corrosion.Low miles, odometer reads 96,849, however approximatelyhalf of these miles are from being towed behind a Bluebird Wanderlodgebelonging to the original owners.When not being used the jeep wasalways garaged and pampered. I have continued to always keep the Jeep garaged.
Painted in its original Caramel (AMC code OR) with all the factorystripes still present.No modifications to the suspension or enginehave been done.No accident history!
4x4 WARN manual locking hubs area fully functional, easy to turn.
2.5 liter, 151 C.I. 4 cylinder "Hurricane"Iron Duke engine.Veryreliable, cool running and no oil leaks.2 bbl carburetor.4-speedtransmission shifts smoothly and has good clutch.
Original windshield, no cracks or chips.Windshield wipers are fully operational.
All door weather stripping is soft & pliable
Fully functional speedometer, odometer, oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge,temperature gauge and alternator gauge.Gauge lights also work.Allother lights:head lights, side markers, turn signals, brake lights,reverse lights, also work.
Heat and defrost work.The fan speed controls function in all speeds.
Original Jeep tilt steering wheel with working horn.
Good original dash pad, no cracks.Also sun visors.
The glove box opens and closes properly, the interior box portion isdecent.Center console is in good shape but does no have the lockcylinder.
New OEM front & rear side marker lenses and rear tail lights installed.
Emergency brake holds firm and releases easily.
BESTOP soft top, has fade but is in decent condition, no broken zippers,does have slight cracks on the lower flap.Full soft doors are in goodcondition, both latches work properly from inside and out.BESTOPmatching seat covers in excellent condition.Tire cover in excellentcondition.Also padded roll bar in good condition, even the courtesyinterior light still works.
Period correct Western Wheels are in good condition, does have somesurface rust on center caps.Brand new tires (less than 50 miles)
Original key, original jack, original JEEP rubber floor mats.
Recent service.Everything is ready to go!
At 39 years of age, it does show signs of use, however the Jeep is inremarkable condition!It looks, runs, drives, and stops great!Youwould be hard pressed to find as clean & original a 1980 CJ-5 asthis one.Inspections are welcome.Feel free to call me with anyquestions. 910-876-1951
